Hi, I am a senior in high school, here in NJ. I really want to do ROTC and become and officer in the US Army, I did not go for the scholarship. I will be going to Kean U in the fall and Seton Hall does a cross town affiliate for ROTC with Kean. I gave Seton Hall Military Science department a call and left a message as well as my contact information. I am still waiting to hear back from them. My question is, what are the next steps? Do I have to go for an interview even though I am non scholarship? Do I have to sign up for the class at Kean? How does a non scholarship cross town affiliate usually work?

Hi, so I am graduatin as a senior in high school with the class of 2016. I just got accepted into a college with AROTC. I have done research and my main goal is to become a commissioned active duty 2ndLT. Now I am aware of the LDAC training and requirements to get into the ROTC advanced courses. So here are my questions, 1. let's say I get commissioned into the Reserves or Guard, can I apply to join active duty? And how long will it take and will I have to wait for a certain period of time? 2. During ROTC is it hard to get into Airborne school, Moutain warfare, etc.

Hi I was just curious, if you are a non scholarship for ROTC and you decide to join your schools unit, do you need to get picked? Or can you join? Or does it depend on the school? I saw different answers online and I did not know. Thank you

Hi, so I am a senior in high school and will be graduating in June with the class of 2016. I am applying to schools who have either Army ROTC or are cross-town affiliates with a school. My question is if I do go to a cross-town affiliate school, could I still receive a commission the day of graduation even if I meet all of the requirements to earn a commission?

Hi, so I'm 17 and I wanna join the NJ National Guard and I was curious, a National Guard soldier that I know in New Jersey said that you can get a non deployment contract in the Army, is that true? I'm also gonna do Army ROTC, could I get deployed if I'm in ROTC? I'm not afraid of getting deployed at all, but while I'm in college I don't wanna spend money on classes and books and then get sent oversees. I mean I eventually do wanna get deployed but that's after school and that. So my questions are:

1: can I get a non deployable contract for my enlistment?

2: can I get deployed if I'm on ROTC as well?

Hi I'm 16 years old and I'm the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps and I'm very interested in either going into NROTC or the Army ROTC programs. I'm coming up on my junior year of high school and it have to start getting in contact with schools. However I just wanna know if I need a 4, 3, or 2 year scholarship to get a commission? Do I need a scholarship at all to get a commission?

Hi I'm 16 and a sophomore in high school. Next year I'm going to enlist in the U.S. Army reserves when I'm 17. I plan go to Rutgers and do Army ROTC. I am currently in the USNSCC (United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps) which is a Naval JROTC program nationwide. I'm gonna be honest, my grades are all over. I don't know what my GPA is. I am in two standard classes and the rest are academic. Going to Rutgers and getting an ROTC scholarship is all I want. I'm not a stupid kid. I am try hard at everything I do I study two hours a night. I may not pass every test or quiz but I give it my all. Here are my questions:

1. What are the requirements to get into Rutgers?

2. How do I obtain the ROTC scholarship?

So I'm in my sophomore year of High school and I want to join the Army Reserves when I turn 17 next year. I am currently in the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps which is a Navy ROTC program nation wide in the US and I am an E-3 in the program. My parents want me to pursue ROTC at Rutgers which is what I'm planning to do. My big thing is that if I join the reserves I might get deployed while I'm in college and if I'm doing ROTC. So here are my questions:

1. If I sign a four year scholarship for ROTC and I'm in the reserves, can I still get deployed

2. If I don't get a scholarship and do ROTC while in the reserves can I get deployed

3. When should I contact the recruiters at Rutgers about ROTC? And how do I get a scholarship?

So i'm a sophomore in high school and my girlfriend is a freshman. Our relationship was fine. I mean there were times when we fought but we got over it. She wrote me love letters and told me she'd never cheat on me and say she'd never leave me and would always fight for us I even went over to her house and tried to make a good impression. until recently...

My girlfriend is friends with her ex boyfriend, which he likes her and wants her back, she also lost her virginity too him which i dont really care about, but they're really close which i didn't like. Everyday I'd see him always touching her and stuff like that which made me upset and yesterday I wasn't at school and my friend texted me saying she saw him holding his hand but she said "he was warming my hands for me".

So last night me and my girlfriend broke up over the phone while she was at our friends house. and she kept calling me an a**hole and stuff like that and i didn't really say anything and she said the reason why she wants to end our relationship is because I don't like her ex and her being close so I pretty much told her to f**k off.

I'm really upset and I don't know what to do?! I still love her and I cant stop thinking about her!!I mean I erased her number out of anger and all of her pictures on my phone. My friend said to leave here alone, but I want to say im sorry and everything!! Please I need help!

Okay so im 14 and shes 16. And she goes to a different school and we always text. For a while we had a thing going until we got into a fight a few weeks ago and I said some hurtful things and she really loved me and I really loved her. Than we got into a fight on new years eve. And she told me "go date and be happy :)" and I was telling her that I wanna be with her and her only.

Okay so yesterday i got into a fight with this girl that i'm with. See the thing is I have been tutoring this girl Alyssa in my World Civ class. And my ex thinks I have been cheating on her because I have been hanging around with Alyssa and tutoring her. I have been hanging out with my ex a lot to.

Well a few months ago my 3rd cousins came over from Hawaii to visit and we live in NJ. My one cousin is 16 and she is a model. Well we hit off great. But I noticed that she would always hug me and start tickling me and touching me and saying how much she loves me. Oh and BTW I'm 14. So some how she got my phone number.

Now we text and talk all the time. She'll always say things like "I love you and I miss you so much :) and I love your tickle fights and hugs:)" and last night she said "I want to definitely want to LAY ON YOU and fall asleep one night at least once:)" so I said "you want to sleep with me?" and she said "sure:)"

Ok a few weeks ago my two cousins came from Hawaii to visit us. Well the thing is that my one cousin is 16 and I'm 14 and we are 3rd cousins. And we have each others phone numbers so we text and talk all the time! But she'll always say thInge like "oh I miss you and I love you so much" or things like "the next time we see eachother lets hang jus me and you" she even asked me if I would hold her if we watched a scary movie. Now I love her, but im not in love with her. If anyone can tell me if she likes me please tell me. Thank you

ok I am 14 years old and im a U.S. Naval Sea Cadet. Ther is this kid ther who what i think is stalking me. When I first joined this kid seemed to be nice. Even at bootcamp he was alright. I gave him my number. But in the fall when we started to go back to drill he started to get a little wierd. At night when we would sleep he would get up walk over to my bunk and try to rub my calf leg. I would wake up and i would start a fight with him. I had to have the watch guards look out for me while i was asleep.

He even told my other friend who is in Sea Cadets this comment "SInce im not going to summer training with you guys, you need to look out for Jacob and protect him ok." My friend told me what he said and my friend said "I am not going to do that dont worry."

Everyday during the summer he is texting me. I dont answer him. I mean my parents even made me invite him to my house cause they like him. I TALK TO MY PARENTS ABOUT IT BUT THEY DONT BALIEVE ME!!! Im thinking about reporting him to the police but i dont know how to do this without my parents knowing. Can someone help me?

So heres the thing. Today my dad dropped me off at my friends house. I went to my friends house to go airsofting. When i got there my friend told me that plans have changeed and we are going to his other friends house to airsoft. So as soon as i was about to call my dad he called me and i told him what was going on and i asked him if it was ok to go to this other kids to airsoft and it was fine by him. So me and my friend walked to this other kids house and started airsofting. So while i was airsofting my dad called me ten times to chck on me cause him and i didnt know this kid. Well my phone was in my bag inside the kids house and when i called him back he started yelling at me why i didnt answer him and he also told my mom. So after I called him I called my mom and I told her everything that happened like I told my dad.

Well my dads still mad at me cause i never answerd my phone. And he was like "What if something happened to you" or "You and I dont know these people how did I know that you didnt get hurt." I just want some advice on how to resolve this. I am not the type of kid who does this stuff. I am a good kid i mean I get good grades Im a good athlete and I never did anything bad like this.

I just want some advice on how to resolve this issue with my dad?

I am 14 years old and I am going into high school next year and Im going to play football. I have never played before so could you please answr my questions. I am going to play defensive line and possibly corner back and linebacker. My problem is that when you play Corner Back how do I know which reciever to cover, cause I was at a highschool football camp and my friend kept screwing up and he has played before. My second question is I dont understand plays such as like a 3-4 position cause i dont understand what they mean or who to cover. My third question is that how do I play linebacker and which lineman would I cover and who would I stand behind. And can you please tell me how to understand dfensive plays better. THANK YOU
