  • I have a "stray" domestic rabbit that has been around my house the last few days.?

This is incredibly ironic because seven years ago this same situation happened with another rabbit which I caught and he has been a member of the family ever since. We are thinking that someone knew we had a rabbit and dumped their unwanted one by us. My concern now is the dropping temperatures. I have been gone during the times my family has spotted him and the next few days I will be at home and would like to capture him. My question is would putting my already domesticated rabbits feces by the spot where I have been feeding this rabbit make him more comfortable in that area or not?I have read on more than one occasion that it would, but my thinking is that it could create a territory issue and if that rabbit was a buck he would avoid the other bucks area. Any suggestions that might help me catch him would be appreciated. This happened before by chance so I m not really sure how to go about it. Thank you so much for any help!

P.S. - they are both domesticated. My rabbit has a lion head mane and is pitch black and the stray one appears to be a checkered cross and is black/white. My neighbors are all aware of him being in the area and are keeping an eye out. Thank you!
