  • What are the best songs in Seussical?

If you had to put together a preview of Seussical, what 3-4 songs would you use and why? I am trying to draw people into the show (because it's still relatively unknown) and I'm trying to give our audience a TEASE to let them know how much fun the show is.

  • What would you teach if you were teaching a unit about choir?

Hello All! I am a well "seasoned" orchestra teacher (lol) that is teaching 5th grade general music for the first time. I need to do a vocal/choir unit and I'm wondering what you think should be included. I'll obviously pick out some songs for the kids and they'll have warm ups, we'll talk about posture, breathing...etc....but what ELSE should I include? Any ideas or books (and warmups) would be great. Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Can you help me find some fiddle music?

I'm posting this in the classical music forum as I thought I may get the most responses here. I am looking for some fairly nontraditional fiddle songs and I'm not having much luck. They are: Kentucky Wassail and Sir Roger de Coverely. If you know where I can find these (for violin) or would be willing to share yours with me, please contact me. Thanks in advance for your help!

Does anyone know the name of the piece and/or the string quartet that played it? I've looked EVERYWHERE!

  • What happened to my sound card?

I turned on my computer today to find that my sound isn't working. This has happened in the past and I've been able to simply go into the control panel and change the default settings as the computer was going back to the setting for my OLD sound card. As I attempted to do that today, the new card (SoundBlaster) is not in my menu list. Can anyone help me figure out this mystery of where it went? And if so, how do I fix it?
