  • Getting an auto loan for $3000?

I have recently gotten out of military service and I'm having a problem trying to get a loan for a "junker" car. I have little to no credit. I am currently using the GI bill and receive $1400 a month with $500 rent. The rent is the only big payment I have. I have gotten messages that the GI bill counts only as temp pay and that I should file for unemployment. If I'm not mistaken unemployment is also temp. Is there a place I can go that will grant a $3000 loan? Even at 30% interest it wont be a dent in monthly spending.

I do know to save up and just buy a car out right, however I wish to build some credit NOT through a credit card, I hate credit cards.

I got a friend that's trying to help me but the last person he help had him buy something that it wasn't.

    What Im looking for is

    HD component

    Sound hock up source

something that wont overheat to bad

On base we have a TV size restriction, and I have to lock it up because Marines sometimes tactically acquire things from their friends.
