I am but a young mind in an awkward stage of life, seeking guidance as to how to live, and sharing the knowledge I gain with others that seek help. My main message is a simple one- We are all here to share this planet, and harmony can be found if only we can each find it in our heart to all love each other, despite the differences we may all have :)
The truth hurts, so at what point do you stay quiet?
I seem to always find a moral conflict between telling the truth, and making sure that you don't hurt someone unnecessarily. Where do you think the line should be drawn?
5 AnswersPhilosophy10 years agoI can't deal with my dad's anger anymore and I don't know what to do?
It doesn't matter what I do he always finds some reason to be angry with me and he just yells and deals so much emotional and mental damage to me that I can't stand to live here anymore. I don't know how to deal with it because if I try to talk to him about it he will just get even angrier and it will just make things worse and I can't afford to move out for at least two or three more years. How can I survive the remaining years until I can afford to move out of his house?
2 AnswersPsychology10 years agoWhat do you do when envy strikes?
How do you deal with envy, do you know any way to make it leave your life? Granted I don't get envious often but when I do it seems a plague, and I don't know how to operate when I am feeling envious. Thanks for any help!
1 AnswerPhilosophy10 years agoHow do you deal with not knowing?
How do you deal with not knowing something? In the deep way of never truly knowing the answers to most of life's great mysteries. And also in the shallow way of not knowing how the people in our life really think of us, and when people keep secrets that you really want to know. Do you deal with the deep and shallow states of not knowing in different ways? Or is there really no difference when it comes to the failure of quenching your own curiosity?
I thank everyone who answers, and especially those of you who will undoubtedly give me a new insight into this problem.
7 AnswersPhilosophy10 years agoHow can you make others stop fighting?
Does anybody have tips on helping other people resolve their differences, of ending a feud between two of your friends? Please, I just hate animosity and reducing animosity between different people is so very important to me right now. All answers are greatly appreciated!
6 AnswersPhilosophy10 years agoWhen attempting to improve upon your own nature…?
Ok, so I am trying to make myself a little more humble, or less obnoxious because I think that I am a little loud and too outspoken. I can tell myself to be quieter and sometimes it can make myself calm down, but for most of the day I seem to forget about my effort and I end up being just as obnoxious as usual. How can I make myself aware of me being obnoxious when it is happening as to stop it?
Thank you for any tips that may prove helpful :)
5 AnswersPhilosophy10 years agoHow can I learn to be more patient?
How can I learn to be more patient, and I mean like waiting weeks or months for something that is dear to me.
If you were wondering, this is about me having to spend the summer away from all of my friends and a girl. I hate waiting to spend time with everyone that I care about. I find it almost unbearable, it literally makes me sick. :(
Please if you know something that can help, don't hesitate to answer I will be very grateful :)
8 AnswersPhilosophy10 years agoCan you really never too much of a good thing?

11 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoHow can I help my friend get through her break up?
The story:
My friend went through a break up a little more than a month ago with her ex-boyfriend of 1.5 years. Now she likes me and I like her but it is obvious to me that she still isn't over her ex. I can't allow myself with proper morality to have a relationship with her if she also is still in love with her ex.
How can I help her get over him quicker, cause the pain of it is killing us both!
2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhy do good guys always finish last?
Ok to be fair I understand good people don't always finish last but it has been an experience of mine that when I try to do the right thing someone else usually swoops in and takes advantage of my kindness.
So why is it (spirituality aside this time) that people don't get rewarded for doing what is right?
15 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoCan you define "love" in under 10 words?
Can you define "love" in ten words or less?
The less words the better.
I am looking forward to see how creative people can be.
The best answer will be given to one who uses ten words or less and is most original, also must be a slightly accurate answer of course.
Have fun! :)
19 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoHow can I change what I want?
Ok so basically I am asking how can I stop wanting something that I can not have?
Is it possible to force myself to stop fantasizing about an unrealistic goal?
Why can't I just be happy with what I have or can have, instead of wanting something unattainable?
Haha, yes I realize I just asked the same thing three times but I just really need help with this.
The more answers the better- please help me solve this problem as I will certainly pass on the answer to those others who need help with my same problem.
Thank You :)
2 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhat's more important to you?
Which is more important to you: Your religious, or philosophical beliefs?
So if you had to change one of your belief sets, religious or philosophical which would you pick to keep, and why?
7 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhich is better? Following your emotions or your logic?
Which would you choose- If given the chance would you follow your emotions even though you know they will probably lead to a bad consequence. Or would you try to ignore what you feel and do the logical thing that will save you from hurt.
8 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhat's the difference between- Idealists and Idealism?
Now before you call me an idiot and say that idealists are just those who follow the beliefs of idealism, i want to say that I have tried to research both idealists and idealism and I keep coming up with the idea that idealism says perception is what determines our reality. And idealists are those who are visionaries and think that we can make a perfect world.
So I am confused are my definitions right or wrong, and are idealists people who follow idealism, please help!
1 AnswerPhilosophy1 decade agoThere was a quote about how not to judge a man?
Ok, so I remember reading this quote somewhere but I can not find it Anywhere and it is bugging me soo much! Anyway the quote goes something like this:
"Judge a man by his friends not by who he falls in love with, for love is irrational."
Those are not the exact words if anyone knows what quote I am talking about please give me the exact words and the person who spoke them. Thank you very much! Good day to you all! :)

9 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoHow can I better control anger?
How can I better get rid of my anger?
Sometimes I have outbreaks where for half a minute or so I get so angry that I can not control myself, now I always manage to hold it in until I get away from people and I just end up tensing up like crazy until I feel better. These outbreaks happen only when someone does something to me that I have asked them not to many times before. I really wish I could get rid of my anger because I consider myself a very nice person in general. Can anyone please help- the more/different answers the better. Thanks!
12 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhy do people do things that they know are morally wrong?
Why do some people do bad things, when they know for a fact it is wrong to do so?
This could range anywhere from making a rude comment to another all the way to, contributing to war and genocide.
I seriously just can't wrap my head around this concept- could somebody please help me to understand why some people do these things.
