Hey guys, i'm in marching band and i play the marching french horn. They are a lot heavier than they look and by my arms get really tired by the end of our show (around seven minutes) . i have to have it up almost the whole time. and in parades, they get really tired too. because my arms get tired really fast my horn angle isn't very good. i get yelled at sometimes lol . also it gets really tired at times, i try to push through it and lift my horn up more, but i couldn't move my arm up at all and i moved it down a little. i've been in marching band for about two months, we've had a lot of practices but i still can't get used to carrying that heavy instrument.

now, i'm just looking for simple workouts that will help me gain more muscles. i'm not talking like huge biceps, just a little more. i've been thinking about getting a shake weight, but i'm not sure if that works. thanks so much!

Hey guys, wondering if anyone's school started the finger print thing for lunch. I have excessive sweating (i know nasty subjuct, and i hate it) on my hands, hyperhydrosis . will it pick up my finger print? its really embarssing so yeah.

and i'm currnetly trying to get rid of it, but we start the scanning soon.

Its been doing this since summer, it changed shape and places without a case, but when i put a case on it, it settled to one spot and shape.

so about 20 minutes ago, i was cleaning out my ears and acidently poked it too hard on my left ear with a q tip. it hurted for a few minutes. right now it doesn't hurt, but it feels different then my right ear. it doesn't feel as usual. i can still hear with my left ear, but when i swallow it makes a weird sound that i can't explain. nothing came out . no blood or anything.

am i going to lose hearing? how do i know if i damaged my ear drum? thanks!

Hey, so I'm going to this volleyball camp. Its nothing big, just something to work on my skills. I want to start playing volleyball, and I thought a camp should be the first step.

I am on a really tight budget, I needed a volleyball for practicing and stuff, and I have exactly 20.04 $ in my amazon giftcard (that's why I have to get it from amazon)

And, what other gear do I need. I already have volleyball kneepads. What kind of shorts should I wear? I played soccer so all I have is basically soccer shorts. Should I buy certain shorts and stuff?

And if it matters, i'm 5'2 , 13 , almost fourteen years old.

like i said, this isn't like a league or anything, just a camp, but i want to be prepared.

hey guys i was eating a gummy worm then choked on it and i think part of it went down the wrong pipe. i feel part of it like somewhere on the left side of my throat or where ever its at, i keep trying to swallow but it won't go down. i drank water but some of it is still there , i don't know if it went down the wrong pipe because i can breathe fine and i'm not coughing or anything. and i tried coughing it out but i can't. its been there for about an hour and a half. what should i do!

Hey guys, so i'm performing with a few of my friends and it was going to be non acoustic, but they changed it to acoustic because they didn't want to use electric guitars.

and i don't want to bring my whole drum set because i don't have the transportation for it and it would be to loud even when their acoustic guitars are plugged into an amp.

they said i could do bass but this guy is already doing it, and he doesn't have any bass or guitar expiernce.

my friends said they could buy a tamborine and i could play that, but i think it would be kinda weird.

i was thinking of getting those really small electronic drums but they don't plug into an amp, also i was considering a cajon, but i don't know how loud that is and they are a bit expensive.

any other substitutes that are one hundred dollars or less?

hey guys, on my yahoo mail, i'm not recieving emails. its only certain emails like machine sent emails. like when you sign up for a website, and they send you an email to verify it, i never get those emails. and i've been waiting for at least one week on some of them, and i kept trying to resend, but i never got the email, so i'm pretty sure its yahoo mail that's getting screwed up. i've tried several sites, not just one, anyone else have this problem? how do i fix it? thanks!!

Hey guys, so I removed paint from the top part of the bike frame, and so all the paint on that part is completly gone. I bought some primer and paint today, but the guy at ace told us not to remove all the paint, and that we don't need primer. he said that just sand the paint on the bike a little, and spray paint it with the new coat. but i've been reading online and stuff, it said to sand the whole thing (which i did) then add primer then paint. now my parents are telling me to just do what the ace guy said, and even with the part i completly took the paint off, just spray paint it without and primer. is that right? what should i do? i keep telling my parents that i want to remove all the paint for a better finish and they were like no! just do what the ace guy said! so what should i do? add primer, or no? thanks!

Hey guys i'm repainting my bro's bike purple. I have a few questions:

1) What should I do with like the screws and bolts? Should I keep them in and put tape over it or what?

2) Do i paint inside like the tubes/frames/forks or just the outside?

Hey guys. My brother doesn't want his cheap bmx anymore, and I like it a lot, it goes really fast and I like it, even though its a cheaper end one. But I want to repaint it puprle. is it worth it? i mean its a cheap bike, we got it for seventy dollars, but like i said i like it. i researched how to repaint bikes and i can get my dad to help me. if i don't repaint it, i would have to wait until next year to get a bike, which i'm pretty impatient. so is it just a waste repainting it? should i just waste?

Hey guys, I'm 13, going into eighth grade and LOVE music. I know how to play guitar, drums, french horn, trumpet, ukulele, a little bit of keyboard, and i'm learning saxophone. I want to go to college and major in music, for french horn. Everyone tells me since i'm good, and if I keep playing, I'll probably get into a good music school. I know I'm really young and all, but I've made up my mind. My older sister is in college and she supports me. I want to teach and perform music. But my parents on the other hand, don't want me to. They keep saying "you can't do anything with that, its just a hobby your not gonna make a living" and stuff like that. They want me to be either a dentis, docter, or accountant. Which I don't want to be. How can I convince them that I want to do music, because I want to tell them now and not wait til i'm 19 to tell them and them say no.

Also, marching band season is coming up and this year, eighth graders are aloud. I asked my older sister, she said that I should totally join because she couldn't get a chance (she's the oldest and had to babysit us, she was a percussionist, but had to quit, she doesn't play any instruments now) so I asked my mom if I can join, and she said "no". I was like WTF? Like i don't do anything over the summer and I'm really bored. So also how can I convince her to do marching band (I only have like 3 days til sign ups) Thanks so much!

I'm buying my french horn. I used the school instrument for seventh grade to see if I like it, and I do, so I'm planning to buy one. I played a cornet in sixth grade and moved to french horn. But i'm not sure what french horn to get.

I need a french horn that will last me through high school and eighth grade (5 years). I'm also on a tight budget so for a new french horn I don't want to pay more than 2,000 dollars, and for a used no more than 1,500 dollars. I also want a double french horn, because I'm used to the fingerings.

Okay, so this is my second flat iron. my first one is a cheap 20 dollar one, i made a mistake on buying it, and it seems like its falling apart, and i got it in september 09.

So now i'm buying a more expensive one. I have narrowed it down to two flat irons, both made by babyliss, and both around the same price.

the first one has great reviews, is better quality , but is more expensive.

the mahalo, or the second one, also has pretty good reviews, but not as good as the lanikai, but is cheaper. i am trying to save money, and both are pretty good choices for me. i am not going to take ukulele serious, just to play around with. i have 55 dollars in my amazon account so which should i get? i am leaning more towards the lanikai because it will last longer, but i'm willing to try the mahalo, and for the price of the mahalo, it has great reviews.

also, i have a line 6 spider 4 75 watt amp. if that makes any difference.

also what kind of cable do i get? do i just a normal instrument cable like for the guitar, or do i need a different cable to connect the amp and pedal?
