How can I get my son to wear his hearing aides?
My son just turned three. He got hearing aids almost 2 weeks ago. Everything seemed to be going great, he loved that he could hear and really enjoyed them being in. Starting a couple days ago, when he would get mad, he would take them out. Not because he didn't want them in, but kind of to challenge me if that makes sense. It is something he does during his temper tantrums he will do things that kind of say, "Oh yeah well you can't make me do this".
I know it's a power thing, and I don't want to get into a power struggle with him. So how do I get him to keep them in.
So far I have tried explaining that he needs them in. Allowing him to take them out for a brief period of time, as long as he is not mad he then lets me put them back in. Last night I decided since he takes them out for bed then if he wants them out he can go to bed. Worked great last night, but not so well this afternoon.
I need one idea to stay consistent with because I'm sure jumping from one thing to the next is adding to the behavior. I am new to dealing with this so any tips or ideas will be greatly appreciated.
3 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoHow can I get my dog to stop chewing things?
I have a 8 month old puppy. He is a Catahoula leopard dog and Rot mix. He chews on everything, well except shoes. He has tore up so many of my kids stuffed animals and pillows, blankets, barbies, balls (even a golf ball), my couch, he even climbed on my table and started chewing our pumpkin. I first thought he needed more toys, so I bough him a wider variety and more toys. Then I thought maybe we aren't feeding him enough so I put food in his bowl whenever it was empty, then we went through 5lbs of dog food in just a couple days, and he still chewed everything. So now I feed him 1 1/2 cup 4 times a day. I don't know what to do. Other than this he is a great dog, but it is becoming hard to see my kids go with out and/or constantly replace things. So please help with ideas.
7 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHouse being forclosed, can I stop paying rent?
My family and I are currently renting a duplex. Recently we got a notice of default on the house saying that my landlord hasn't paid the mortgage in three months. I called my landlord and asked him what it was about, but he yelled at me saying that it's none of my business, and that his mortgage is between him and the bank and doesn't involve me. Meanwhile I am getting more information stating that the duplex is going up for sale in Dec. Does anyone know if I can stop paying rent so I can save up to move?
