setup with some changes to it not sure which i like better?
i posted a setup last night im looking at for my girl's car but now im debating between these to speaker setups. tell me which you like better.
INFINITY
Kappa 462.7cfp 75rms ran on headunit
Perfect 5.1 100rms in kickpanel
Kappa 693.7i 110rms in rear
POLK
mmc460 50rms ran on headunit
mmc5250 100rms in kickpanel
mmc690 100rms in rear
ive switched to the alpine pdx amp's since ive heard good things about them. the speakers will run off the pdx1.100 except for the 4x6's that will run off the headunit. im still going with the excelon x990 headunit. and ive decided to go with the polk sr series subs. 2 10"sr104 700rms each. i know the bass heads will go why 10's but my girl likes rock and stuff so it will sound better. id like to go with the pdx for the subs too but the biggest they have is the 1000watt so i would olny be pushing 500rms to each sub when they can handle 700rms.
2 AnswersCar Audio1 decade agowhat do you think about this system setup im looking at for my girl's car?
kenwood excelon kdc-x990 headunit 22rmsx4 5v preout
infinity kappa 693.7i 6x9 in the rear 110rms 2ohm
infinity kappa 6.5" in the front 90rms 2ohm
mtx ta3404 4ch amp 100rmsx4 @2ohm
still not sure what subs im debating between something hard hitting like the mtx 9512 or something cleaner like polk audio, has any1 heard the sr series??
sub amp will prolly match the 4ch amp, mono class d.
100sq ft pack of fatmat for the whole car should have extra that i will use on something else.
trying to stay in a $3000 budget. still have to pick subs and total everything, if its in the pricerange i may get kickpanel's and put the 6.5's there and get the 50.7 kappa's for the doors and run them off the headunit. that would take it to 10 speakers (counting tweeters) and 1 or 2 subs depending what i go with. anything anybody would change or anything?
