1 AnswerFamily5 years agoWhy type of attorney that works on a contingency basis do I need?
I purchased a home in August 2014. The home was given a 4 point inspection by the property management personnel that sold me the home on behalf of the lienholder. I just recently found out that that s a big conflict of interest. I also found out that the home should have never passed a four point inspection. So the inspection was falsified. Over the past year my whole family have been extremely sick in the home, my family has been caughing, wheezing, breaking out in soars, hives, rashes, and chronically ill. Our doctors couldn t understand what was going on. My kids were diagnosed with asthma, bronchitis, and many other issues. I have had an engineer, mold inspector, water company ( LRE ) , electrician, and multiple inspectors check out my house and all have confirmed serious damage. I spoke with the attorney for the lien holder and I told him about the damages and how the home was not properly inspected. I also explained I was aware of my rights. He said he would talk to the lienholder and see what they come up with. He called me a few days later and wanted to speak with the insurance adjuster. The attorney said they wanted to assess the damages so they could come up with an offer for me. The adjuster said they were asking him about damages and so on. Anyways now that we are moved out my family is recovering but the lasting issues remain. I m letting the home go into foreclosure.

4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate5 years agoHow long does it take to know if the out of state check you deposited was bounced or not?
I deposited a check into my account and found out the company that wrote it may bounce it. It's already been five business days and no notice of bouncing. Does that mean we're in the green?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics6 years agoI am suing a company I use to work for and they never paid me as agreed in our settlement so I'm taking them to court. what should I expect?
The co were given company I use to work for agreed to settle with me for X amount of dollars. They were given a time frame to pay me and never did. It's been months since and they have promised on several occasions they were going to pay but broke every promise afterwards. Now I'm taking them to court for breech of contract. What can I expect? Will the judge make them pay me right away? Will I be rewarded damages? Has anyone been through this before?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics6 years agoShould I reach out to my 21 year old step daughter if she's extremely angry with me and her father. ( my husband.?
At one time in our lives my husband and I had a good relationship with my step daughter but her mother interfered and drew us apart by her jealousy. This was back when my step daughter was 14. She is now 21 and still living with her mother. Her mother continues to bash my husband on Facebook and no he does not owe her any child support. We've tried many times to communicate with the daughter but the mother interferes and emails me telling me to stop trying. Funny thing is I feel by certain posts my step daughter wants to talk to me but feels imprisoned to do so. What should I do?
3 AnswersFamily6 years agoCan I take my truck back from my step daughter who has taken over payments but continues to be irresponsible?
My ex husbands 22 year old daughter moved in with my husband and I and has been living with us rent free for a year now. We wanted to help her out so we allowed her to take over payments on our vehicle as long as she was responsible. Its been about four months and she has already had a speeding ticket, an at fault car accident, and now her friend stole the truck and kicked the door in. She has tried to hide many details of these issues and now we want the truck back. Due to her irresponsibility and lack of good judgments we feel this is best. What would you do and are we doing the right
thing? Would I owe her any money in the court of law?

2 AnswersLaw & Ethics6 years agoIs it normal for a school to fingerprint 4th graders?
My daughter told me her whole class was finger printed yesterday. I feel that is unnatural and it makes me uncomfortable. What is your input on this?
6 AnswersOther - Education6 years agoHow much should I ask to settle my sexual harassment case?
I was involved in a very serious sexual harassment at my job for about a year. I was retaliated against by my employers and staff members. It was so bad! I ended up seeking therapy for PSTD and anxiety. I have not been back to work since and everyone I see seems to look like the perpetrator that harassed me. I have files that stand two feet tall with evidence. and I am going to my first mediation. I don't know what to expect as far as the process but I don't want to throw numbers out there that seem to be to big. I have researched estimated settlements for my type of case and they vary in ranges. What do you think is a fair starting point?
