  • Open NAT on 2 XBOX 360's?

New router (D-Link DIR-655) got here today. Don't have time to set it up yet, but the ultimate goal is to have both of the 360's in the house have open NAT.

What is the best way to accomplish that?

    Thanks.

  • Audio/Surround Sound Question - HDTV/Blu-Ray?

I have a Samsung LN32A450 HDTV and a Sony BDP-S350 Blu-Ray player. I'm now looking for surround sound. I was looking at Amazon to see what was recommended by reviewers, and the Sony HT-SS2300 system came up. 5.1, 1000W, HDMI connection, which is what I want to use. Would this be adequate for my set-up, or is it not high enough quality?

On Sony's site, one of the reviews complains that the audio system doesn't decode DTS-HD, and neither does the Blu-Ray system we both have. Is that something to even worry about?

    Thanks in advance.

Also, if you have a different set up for ~$400 or less that works out well, or you have mixed/matched a receiver and speakers and such and it is working out well, please suggest it. I'm open to anything, within a reasonable price range for a college student.

  • HDTV Questions + Blu-Ray, HDMI, Xbox 360, DVR?

    I have a few questions.

I've had the Samsung LN32A450 for about 10 days. Have an Xbox 360 I have on it (well.. not right now, got the red ring of death about 2 hours after I hooked it up to the TV ), but it is an older model without the HDMI. Using the component cables with the switch on HDTV is going to be enough, right?

I went to my cable company a grabbed an HD digital box and DVR yesterday. Right now it is just connected to my TV using the coax cable. There is a spot for HDMI, would it be worth it to use HDMI instead of coax from the box to my TV?

I also ordered a Blu-Ray player off of Amazon and it comes with an HDMI cable. I plan on using the calibration DVD I downloaded/burned once I get it all hooked up. Is that going to be enough, or is it too complicated that a noobie like me may screw up more than help?

Also, regarding the HD cable, there is often 'ghosting' while watching football on HD channels. Can anything be done about that?

Thanks in advance, sorry for all the questions. I may have more once I think of them.

This is my first HDTV, so please excuse me if I don't understand everything right now.

  • HDTV Questions - Blu-Ray, HDMI, Xbox 360, Calibration?

Purchased a Samsung 32" 720p LCD HDTV last night. Now I have questions. Best Buy always has a demo about how their Geek Squad 'calibrates' the TVs to look better. I refuse to pay money for that, so I was wondering if there was a guide to do that, if it is even necessary.

Second, since it is only a 720p TV, is Blu-Ray worth the money? Does the HDMI cable come with the system?

Third, I will be using it primarily for my Xbox 360. Is there a cheaper alternative to the $50+ HDMI cables for it from Microsoft? Or is that the best route?

Fourth, I will occasionally connect this to the digital cable upstairs. Is there a good way to connect it to watch the HD channels in full quality?

Thank you for your time. Points will be given for best answer.

  • How do I reformat my external hard drive?

I bought a new laptop because my old laptop was old and was getting slow. Plus it had many spyware and virus problems.

I bought the external hard drive to keep almost everything on, so I'm sure it too has some spyware/virus issues. How can I reformat it so I am safe to use it with my new laptop?

    Thanks

  • Looking for a song...?

    Rock? Classic rock?

This description is going to blow donkey balls.

From what I remember, its a guy singing - almost just talking - and he says "guitar" like "guee-tar" and he stops singing for a little guitar solo that lasts like 10 seconds or so a couple times. It's been months since I've heard, but I now have the urge to finally figure out what that damn song was.

  • Bumps on genitals?

Had an STD test, I'm clean.

I honestly think they are razor bumps from way back when (like.. a year ago) when I made the mistake of actually shaving down there. (Side note: I'd advise trimming, not shaving with razors) However, from everything I've read, there is no reason they should still be around. They are very small, white/skin colored, and go all the way up my penis and on my scrotum. The skin has to be stretched to really see them on the penis itself, but they are there. They used to itch a lot, and I bought a few different products, but none got rid of the bumps. I've tried the wet towel + tweezers, but I really don't think I have THAT much hair down there, and I didn't have any success. There are dozens (maybe even over 100) of bumps, and I have run out of ideas. I'm trying to avoid going to the docs/dermatologist on this, but if I have to, I guess I will.

    Thanks in advance.
