Sir Richard
Joke: A kid's name?
This happens in a tribe somewhere on Earth. A kid sits pouting when his grandfather, also the tribal chief, walks by and asks him what is the problem.
Kid: I don't like my name, I hate it.
Chief: Now, now. It is tribal custom that me, the chief, names the child according to what I saw at the moment he or she was born. Don't you understand?
Kid is still pouting
Chief: See, I named your father Flying Eagle, your good friend next door Running Wolf, and your older sister Light Rain.
Kid is still pouting.
Chief: Time to go to your mother now. So run along, Fxxking Dog.
16 AnswersFamily1 decade agoMoral of a famous Chinese Legend?
Chinese legend said long time ago there were 10 suns and life on earth was hell. A farmer turned hero (like a Hercules) won the heart of a beautiful, fairy like woman. To show his power, he shot down 9 suns with his bows and arrows and life on earth became habitable.
Then the hero wanted to build an empire unifying all the nomads. But his wife was starved for his attention. The hero turned crazy from the nagging and flipped to be a brutal ruler. The wife was so heart broken and, scared for her safety, she ran away with her favorite pet-- a hare-- so fast that they rose up the sky all the way to the Moon beyond the reach of the angry husband's arrows. She had always thought the Moon to be a paradise as it looked so good from afar.
At the end, the brutal ruler fell by the way side. The beautiful wife found a deserted Moon with no green grass. The Chinese still celebrate every July for the fairy in the Moon and her faithful companion the hare.

2 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoAccording to statistics, every other couple is divorced. But I find almost all my peers are married. Do you?
We all know that in the US, divorce statistics is at least 50%. I am Asian and have been married for 20+ years and live California. Let's focus on the marrital status and ignore the happiness and staying for the sake of children part. Most of my friends and colleagues, good mix of ethnic background, are married and have never divorced. Have you ever wondered if the statistics is really true from the social circles you are in?
