  • Firewire camcorder help please !?

Is there any quality loss in transferring DV movies to a decent p.c. with firewire ? Have you heard of anyone having bad results ?

I can't decide whether to sell this camcorder or not - I thought I could use USB, but now I have to buy a IEEE PCI card and cable

Also, is the transfer done at real time like screen/video capture?

    thanks.....

  • Can I replace my Sata drive with an ide?

It's an emachine with a SATA drive, but I need to know if I can replace it with an IDE, not as a backup but as the new main drive. It's a t5230.

I know the sata is better, but my friend wants to buy it from me, and I don't need all the storage

  • Help ! What holds solid objects together?

Not the nuclear strong force or covalent bonds, but what makes solid objects not come apart like gas or liquid. Temperature means the atoms and molecules are moving, yet force is required to tear a solid object apart. Is it 'electrostatic'? The answers don't seem to be anywhere.
