How can we explain that 50% of American students are below average when compared to their peers? Why such a large number?
2 AnswersOther - Education9 years agoTop ten QB's in the NFL right now?
You've just been named the GM of a brand new NFL team. You're allowed grab a QB from another team to build around. What's your list of the top ten QBs to take in this situation?
Note that you need to look at all factors such as: experience, past success, longevity, etc. You're not just getting a QB for this year, but someone to build around for the next few years.

1 AnswerYouTube9 years agoWhat's the best way to spread a Youtube Video?
So my wife made a Video for our church. She's a very good artist in my opinion, but of course I'm biased. Anyway, we put the video of her drawing the art work on Youtube and I'm trying to promote the heck out of the video. We are NOT making any money on it... we just love to see people watch it and then be able to see where in different parts of the world people have seen the video. Her dream is to see if go viral, but it isn't funny or anything, just good art work, so I doubt that will happen. Any ideas?

Please note: These are NOT monetized videos. I'm not making any money off these. Frankly, I'm just bragging on my wife. I think she's a fantastic artist, but she's tends to think she's not very good. Please take a look and tell me which you like better.

13 AnswersChemistry9 years agoAnyone know when they starting giving out Championship Rings in the NFL and NHL?
I know they've had NFL rings back as early as the Super Bowl, but I'm curious if there were any prior to the Super Bowl era. I know Baseball has been doing it from the 20s, just curious when the NFL and/or NHL started doing it.
1 AnswerFootball (American)1 decade agoGood, easy to use Photo/Graphic software tool?
I'm looking for a easy to use piece of software to edit photos and print them off. I've been using Photodraw for a long time from Microsoft. It's a great program for those of us who want something that's relatively easy and yet it powerful enough to do the good editing.
I've tried to use Photoshop, and while it can do everything I've ever wanted, it's also extremely complex and does far more than I will ever need. I'm not a computer idiot... I manage the computer systems at my work. But I'm also not a design expert and don't need the complex tools that Photoshop provides.
I want to be able to edit family photos (resize, crop, edit color balance, etc) and then be able to put a handful of them on the same page so I can print them off for my wife to do scrap booking with.
Why, oh, why did Microsoft have to stop making Photodraw?!?
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoWhich City really deserves the title: City of Champions?
According to Wikipedia, there are five North American cities which have this as a nickname. Below are the cities and the reason they were originally given this nickname.
Boston, Mass: Multiple NFL and MLB chamionships in the early 2000s.
Pittsburgh, PA: Multiple NFL and MLB Championships in the 1970s.
Detroit, MI: The first and ONLY city to have 3 of the major 4 North America sports championships in the same sports season (1935-36), also home to Joe Louis, who became an International Boxing star during this same period.
Edmonton, Alberta: Various Championships in the 1980s, only the NHL team is part of a Major League, but they did win 5 Cups in that decade.
Brockton, Massachusetts: Various famous boxers have fought out of this city including Marvin Hagler and Rocky Marciano
So, in your opinion, which of the 5 cities are most deserving?

1 AnswerOther - Sports1 decade agoAnyone know here I can find a black Detroit Lions hat with the older logo?
Okay, I'm a long suffering Detroit Lions fan... I admit it. I'd like to find a hat with the older 'bubbles the lion' logo... one that is NOT raised - in other words it isn't the 3-D effect.
The hat needs to be all black, except for the logo of course. And it needs to be fitted, size 7 1/2.
6 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoLooking for a Fantasy Book?
I'm trying to find the title of a book that I started reading years and years ago and never finished. The book dealt with a young man who was half-elf half human. He was adopted by a family that owned an inn. Shortly after the beginning of the story a mage or wizard came and they left together on an adventure of sorts.
I believe that it was supposed to be set in a post-nuclear war earth and the journey brought them to a "forbidden area" which was ground zero of a missile strike.
Unfortunately, that's about all I remember about the book. Anyone have any ideas?
3 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoLooking for a 12-volt usb powered hub.?
I have a number of devices that have special software on them. I only use them a few times a year for a retail outlet, but these items need to be powered on a regular basis or they may lose the injected software. They draw power from a 12-volt usb port.
Does anyone know of a 12-volt usb hub? This way I could just have them plugged in in a back room somewhere.
