I'm planning on majoring in Microbiology with a co-major in Pre-Medicine and i just cant decide which school would be better for me.

My first choice was Ohio State University which is very close to home but its also a larger university and a flagstate school so i worry about the grading curve and the competition.

And my second choice was Miami University in Ohio, its a great school that wants me but its 2hrs from home and that would be a really hard drive multiple times a week ( i am unable to live on campus due to family reasons)

Its a smaller uni which is perfect for me but the drive really might be the deciding factor here. If any has any input about these two schools I'd greatly appreciate it. :)

here's the issue- i was homeschooled so i have no letters of recommendation.not to mention i didn't really take any extracurriculars. i studied for the SAT but never actually took the exam (due to family issues).I got rather good grades throughout highschool (cumulative 3.93 gpa). after my original life plan had been derailed i decided i would go to community college(cscc) and transfer to a 4 year college(osu or mu-oh) . but im worried that attending a community college for the first 2 years will hurt my chances of getting into a good medical school. any advice from physicians or pre-meds out there?
