  • My grandmother is having memory problems..?

    A little background on past relatives, my great grandmother (her mother) had Alzheimer's (as well as 3 of her siblings) that got bad extremely quickly and she died. I live with my grandmother, so I think that if anyone was going to notice any change it would be me.

    Some incidents that have happened recently: She called me by my mother's name yesterday, which has happened in the past, and I look exactly the same as my mom, but usually she corrects herself and didn't. Today, we were grocery shopping and I ran things to the car and she was waiting by the door but decided to go to the car, and walked straight back in the parking lot, and had to call me to ask where we parked. Again at another stop, she walked straight past the car we took today and just kept walking. She has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and is on medication for it. Is memory loss a symptom of that? Should I make a doctor's appt so we can get whatever fixed before it progresses?

  • Dumb question about hair growth..?

    So I got a haircut about a week ago, and it is REALLY short. Like, REALLY short. Too short. I want to start growing it out as fast as possible over the holiday break so by the time everything gets back to normal (school and such) it'll not be so short. My hair typically grows about an inch every month, and I've been researching how to increase the normal rate. What I have been doing is using a tea tree oil shampoo, washing it every other day or when it gets gross, and massaging the scalp when I shower and then when I go to bed or read on the computer or whatever. I've also been eating a pretty healthy diet compared to my usual, and I am vegan if that makes a difference. I've considered taking either a multivitamin for the biotin and B vitamins in them, or should I just go with a prenatal vitamin? Any help is gladly appreciated.

  • Birth control pill question...?

    So, I just started the birth control pill (I don't remember the brand but I think they're all the same) and I forgot to take it on sunday, so I took two on monday like it said in the directions if you missed one. And then I started my period, but there was very little blood but I was definitely cramping like my period, so should I start the inactive week pills now and let the period be now or do I continue with the active pills and get it during the inactive week? Orrr.....?

  • Do I still have a problem with past anorexia/bulimia and addiction?

    Last year, I was under boat loads of stress and starting popping pills for headaches, and well before then was an on and off bulimic and anorexic (binge eating disorder, i guess?). I never got any professional help on this, just quit on my own with the help of my sister. I have also had many thoughts of suicide and am clinically depressed (my mother is also suicidal and was once diagnosed with bipolar disorder but apparently they thought it was false or something, if that means anything) but I'm not on any treatment for that, because I'd always lie to my therapists and say I was better just because I hated going there. Now, every time I get any strong wave of emotion, especially negative, I feel the need to go purge or take a few pills. This has been going on a lot today, is it still a lingering addiction? Should I get prof. help?

  • Dream about getting hit by a car?

    I keep having this same dream, have had for several weeks now, that as I am walking along a busy street about two streets over from my house, I am walking up the hill and cross the street, with no one driving near me, and it is a really busy street so that would be unusual since in the dream it is early morning. I look both ways, and as I start to cross a black SUV comes speeding by me, crashes into me, and then as soon as I fall off of the hood of the car, speeds away, and one of the people I live near by comes and finds me. Then I'm in the hospital with glass all over in my arm, and I start screaming in pain as the nurse is cutting off my favorite shirt. And then I wake up. Can someone please tell me what this means?

  • Can a teacher take your bag, without searching it, and keep it from you?

    My english teacher feels it is necessary, for no known reason that she will say, to take each and every student's bag or backpack, after getting your binder and a pencil out, and place it at the front of the room, all day every day. If someone is getting something, even something like a pencil sharpener, out of their bag they will receive detention for disrupting the class. Can a teacher do this, either by school rule or law? There is no reasonable suspicion for possession of anything against school rules, so she literally has no reason to be confiscating people's things.

  • The straw part of my perfume bottle isn't connected to the top anymore, but you can't unscrew the top...?

    How would I go about fixing this? Use pliers to take the pump off and reattach the straw to the pump? You can get it out semi-easily now, you just tip and shake it, but can I fix this or should I just leave it?

  • Facebook question regarding friend requests and privacy?

    So, my grandmother (of all people) decided to get a facebook, and friend requested me, but I declined. She asked me to log into hers and do something or other, but after that I saw that even after I declined her request, I am still in her news feed, like when I add more friends it will say "(Name) is now friends with (name)" and I do not want crap like this in her news feed, so how can I take that out of her news feed? I went to sent friend requests and it says empty, so I can't do anything that way... ??? I'm super confused.

  • I'm vegan, I was stupid and ate a cheeseburger, now I feel like SHxT!!!!?

    I am vegan, have been for about 8 months, and I was being really stupid and ate a cheeseburger from McDonald's (don't ask why because I don't know) and now, about two hours later, I feel so shxtty that I could throw up. I have a headache, my mouth is filling with saliva like you would not believe, and I'm so dizzy that I can't hold my head still. Not to mention I'm just waiting for the contents of my stomach to come spewing out of my mouth. Does the cheeseburger have anything to do with this? Because that's the only thing that I can think of that would have done this.

  • How to remove a baseball glove sized dent from my car?

    I tried the hair dryer and air duster trick, and it only did around the edges. I'm not going to spend another $12 per can on duster if it's going to take another three cans, I've heard about dry ice, but will it work with this size if dent?

  • Effective workouts at home?

    I need some ideas of practical, effective workouts I can stick to at home. I have almost no motivation to keep working out and going to the gym, and I rent a single room so it has to be somewhat able to do in a small room, and my allergies are so terrible this time of year it prevents me from going outside. If it makes any difference as to what you might suggest, I'm looking to improve my cardio and burn fat. Hopefully. Anyway, all answers are appreciated!

  • I uninstalled the Sims 2, will the game settings be reset?

    I uninstalled the Sims 2, correctly, so will the game settings be reset to the default settings, if I installed it on a different computer?

  • Did I do my uninstallation for the Sims 2 correctly?

    I wanted to uninstall The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Pets, The Sims 2 Seasons and The Sims 2 Fashion. I opened up my computer from the start menu, and since I don't have any other EA Games, I deleted the entire EA Games folder from my documents and emptied the recycle bin. Will doing so reset the game when it is installed in either a different computer or again on the one it was previously installed on, or will it still have what I had put on the game there?

  • I tried to solve this equation; is it correct?

    0 = -3x^2-1.5x+6

    -6

    -6 = -3x^2-1.5x

    /3

    -2 = -x^2-.5x

    2 = x^2+.5x

    (square root both sides)

    1.4 = x+.7x

    1.4 = 1.7x

    .82 = x

  • Why do I keep dreaming that I am pregnant?

    I have LITERALLY had at least 50 dreams that I am pregnant over the past 3-ish months. Is my brain trying to tell me something? I figured I'd take a pregnancy test just to be sure that I wasn't; and I'm not. What else might it be saying or trying to tell me? If it makes a difference I'm usually like 3-7 months along in the pregnancy, and I never seem to know who the father is, but there is one of my good male friends who seems to take his place.

  • Can stress cause the following...?

    So in the past 2 weeks or so, I've had this ... thing, I guess, where my heart races about three times it's normal speed, my fingers go numb and then spread up my arms just past the elbows, I get extremely dizzy, feel like throwing up, I get weak and need to sit or lay down, then start shaking all over. I've been EXTREMELY stressed out for the past year now, and I want to know if what I'm having is at all related to stress and/or anxiety. It's happened at least twice a week for two weeks.

  • What do I do now..............?

    I am so far beyond the point of stressed, depressed and pissed off that I don't see any solution. I've talked to a therapist, a counselor, my family doesn't give a **** about me, I don't have ANY friends, the only one who can even possibly give half a crap about me is my cousin. She's busy all the time, and if I told her anything, even though she is the only one in the world I trust, I'm sure my thoughts of suicide would get around the family in a snap. My mom has tried to commit suicide about 7 times before, but someone always finds her shortly after an overdose and calls 911. I have no money to go to a mental hospital, and I'm too young to do anything without parental consent. No one knows about my feelings or troubles because I don't talk to anyone, and I've been crying in my room since I got home an hour ago. I can't call a suicide hotline or anyone because my brother is in the room next to me and would hear me. I can't do anything, and I'm scared of dying, I just need all of this **** to go away. NOW. I don't know what else to do.
