I am having signal issues around my house and hear that a wireless repeater could be a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

What are the benefits of DDWRT? People I trust keep telling me that it is far superior than the regular router firmware but I only see a few small advantages and it seems you can easily break you router if you do it wrong.
