Which company should I choose?
Company A has offered me $90k annual salary. The cost of living is a little more expensive, but financially will be the best decision. The downside is that it's far away from home, and the work isn't what I'm most interested in, although I still enjoy it.
Company B has offered me $60k annual salary. Not many bonuses, but the cost of living is smaller. Financially, its about $10k a year difference. On the plus side, it's closer to home and the work is far more interesting.
The conundrum. Do I go for the lower salary doing something that I want to do? Or do I take the higher salary doing something that I would still enjoy, just not as much? I have school loans to think about, but $60k is still plenty of money. I just don't know what to do. I have a hard enough time trying to figure out what I want to eat today, let alone where I want to work for at least the next 5 years.
