Should i help choose a name for My and my gfs children? When they get older i dont want them to ask ,e how they got there names and all i can say is You mommy named you.. opinions?

My arguement was that she should have the final say but not total control and her arguement was that she has all control..Whos is the right? I feel as tho both parent should have an equal say so when the child grows i have something more to day then "mommy named you"
