  • noise violation question?

I had the police come over for and they gave me a noise violation. I live just outside city limits, however city police came. When they handed me the ticket it shows its from the city that I live by and that statue is a city ordinance. When I looked at the ticket and told the officer I do not live in city limits he looked confused and said he would look into that. Anyway since I live just outside city limits (have no city sewage or water and pay no city tax) and I just know that, anyway will this ticket get dropped when I go to court? Also do city cops have juristiction outside of there city and can they write tickets for city ordinances outside of there city?

  • Why did the Army National Guard unlawfully disarm innocent civilians during Hurricane Katrina?

Some units of the Army National Guard were given illegal and unconstitutional orders to go door-to-door and confiscate the legally-owned firearms of law abiding gun owners! Are Soldier's completely unaware of the 4th Nuremburg Principle, which holds that it is ALWAYS a crime to carry out an order that one knows is illegal, and that it is one's absolute legal and moral obligation to refuse and disobey such orders. This is reinforced by the Supreme Court in decisions like Marbury v. Madison that states all laws contrary to the Constitution are Null and Void. Everyone in the Military takes an oath to uphold the constitution 1st.

Also it took a Federal Court to get involved and it stated that it IS UNLAWFUL to disarm law abiding citizens and ordered the disarming of citizens to stop ASAP.

Question: 1. For military personnel, would you have carried out this unlawful order or would you have questioned it?

    2. Civilians how do you feel and what would you do if you were law abiding and a Soldier came to your door to take your weapons away from you?

    3. Do you think the Governor and highest ranking military officer that ordered this should be prosecuted for violating there oath to the constitution and for breaking the Marbury v. Madison decision, which is a prosecutable offense?

  • How is Obama qualified to be President?

OK first off I do not want to vote for McCain. However I have a hard time voting for Obama since he has just one senate tour and with that he has been campaigning for the presidency for over half of that term. I just want some peoples thoughts on if he is qualified for the office of the president. Keep in mind the last few presidents have been Governors in which they have executive experience. I am not looking for pro Obama or Pro McCain Answers but real answers that have nothing to do with Pro Dem or Pro Republican here. I am looking for answers from Dems here.

  • Why isn't the news covering the naval blockade that the US is planning on Iran?

Senate Resolution # 580 and # HR 6304 is basically a bill that declares war on Iran by enforcing a Naval Blockade and according to international law, a blockade is not legal or its considered an act of war / declaration of war.

Just wondering if this is being covered in the main stream media or if a war with iran just isnt that important.

Has anyone else heard about this?

  • Anyone else have any issues re-adjusting back to civilian life after a deployment and getting out?

Anyway been out for 7 months, unemployment is running out, and I seem to have no motivation on seeking employment, and after 10 1/2 years in the military I miss it, but got out cause I was sick of being gone all the time.

I guess my question is what have any of you gone through and done to get your lives back on track.

    Thanks

  • Why are we allies with Israel when they tried to sink the USS Liberty?

On June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War, the combined air and sea attack killed 34 and wounded more than 170 crew members, and damaged the USS Liberty severly. Israel informed the U.S. that its forces had attacked the Liberty with full knowledge that this was an American ship and lied about it.

The ship had a US Flag and acctually put up a larger flag so the Israel Air for could 100% see it. The ship was a spy ship and had very few weapons to defend itself. Israel took all identifying markers off of there planes and attempted to claim that it was Egypt that tried to sink it, however a russian ship was nearby and acctually saved it from total destruction. The russians basically caught Israel so they could no longer clame it was egypt.

If any other country would have attacked a US Naval Ship, we would have retaliated. So my question is, why do we support Israel? A country that killed US Servicemembers and wounded many more.

  • Marine Corps leadership questions?

Ok I checked google and got mixed answers.

In the Army a team leader is a corperal or Sergeant, what rank are they in the Marine Corps?

Army Squad Leader SSG or SGT(P). Marine: I heard its a Corperal in the Marines? is that true

Army Platoon Sergeant SFC or SSG(P). Marine: I heard its a SSG in the Marines

Army senior company NCO is a First Sergeant: I heard its a Gunny in the Marines, is that true?

So if a Corperal is a squad leader, and a SSG is a squad leader, what do Sergeants, Gunnery Sergeants and First Sergeants do in the Marines.

    Just bored and wondering.

    Thanks

  • Do you think our 2 party political system is broke and what the founding fathers intended it to be?

How can our US Senators and House represent the average person when they represent 1% of the average wealth of the nation. Do we acctually get to choose who runs in the two parties or does the party?

U.S. senators had a median net worth of approximately $1.7 million in 2006, the most recent year for which their financial data is available, and 58 percent of the Senate's members could be considered millionaires. In the House of Representatives, the median net worth was about $675,000, with 44 percent of members having net worths estimated to be at least $1 million. By contrast, only about 1 percent of all American adults had a net worth greater than $1 million around the same time.

  • Is the SEAC at the top of the enlisted NCO Support Channel, or is it still the branch senior NCO, IE,?

SERGEANT MAJOR OF THE ARMY, SGT MAJOR OF THE MARINE CORPS, MST. CHIEF PETTY OFFICER OF THE NAVY, CHIEF MSGT OF THE AIR FORCE, ect.

I heard a while back that they made a new top enlisted position called Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC) of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, but just read "The SEAC holds the grade of E-9 and is equal in seniority to the Services SEAs." Just wanted to know if the SEAC is in the NCO Support channel.
