What can I do to go into labor?
So doctor says if I don't have the baby / go into labor by today they are going to induce me... I see the doctor tomorrow to schedule getting induced. I'd rather not be induced because the contractions caused by induction are far more painful then regular contractions and I want as natural of a birth as possible. And one intervention tends to lead to another.
I've tried Everything!
Eating spicy food... It did nothing! I didn't even get indigestion from it (but my husband did lol! and he loves spicy food) and I always get indigestion from spicy food! I tried eating mangoes, having intercourse with my husband, bouncing on a birthing ball, walking up and down steps, nipple stimulation, drinking red raspberry leaf tea, taking evening primrose oil supplements, and acupressure. Acupressure did the most for me really. I started getting cramps and tightness in my abdominal area and lots of Braxton Hicks contractions but I really needed to take a shower so I took a shower and everything stopped. I've been trying since then (that was Friday) and it wont start again. But yesterday when I went to church it started a little bit then stopped and today I have lots of pelvic pressure which is quite uncomfortable really.
My question is, is there something that I could be doing that I'm not doing? I will not take Castor oil because it can cause the baby to go into fetal distress and I really don't want to risk that. I plan on doing some more acupressure tonight to see if it helps. But if there is anything else I can be doing let me know.
10 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoI am going to have a little boy in a few days! Having some first name deciding problems...?
So my husband and I are expecting our first son in a few days. For years we had the Perfect first name picked out for our son. But the name we love has gone from an almost unknown name to one of the most popular names... I know too many people who are going to or have named their son Aiden. I have a cousin with plans on naming her son Aiden and a sister in-law who has named her son Brayden
So I brought up other options most of which he hated. So I had him go through a baby name book... And he picked out the names he liked.
Aiden
Artemus
Kale or Cale
Cyrus
Malachi
Gabriel
Lucius or Lucien
Take into consideration that the middle name is going to be Scott ( I hate the name Scott but he insisted on it, family reasoning behind it ) Last name is Jacobs
Most of the names I'm not too big of a fan of most of the names. I guess my biggest problem with Aiden is that I don't like popular names if it wasn't popular I wouldn't have a problem but I had a rare name and I enjoyed knowing if someone said my name they were talking to me not one of 5 or so people.
OR if you have any ideas of what first name would work well with Scott Jacobs feel free to suggest.
ps. don't give me any websites we have going through rare baby name books and websites. Not going through any more.

15 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoHow long after implantation bleeding should one take a pregnancy test?
My cycle is every 31 days. I am now 3 weeks late. Last week I had a very, very light bleeding that lasted less the 24 hours which would be, I assume, implantation bleeding.
I took a pregnancy test today (sensing I am over 3 weeks late) and it showed that I was not pregnant. However, I have had numerous symptoms that would say otherwise other then being 3 weeks late ie- noxious, morning sickness, overly tiered, lower back pain etc.
My husband and I have been passively trying to get pregnant since March. However, a few years back my Doctor told me that there was a chance that I may never be able to have children due to an issue I used to have with my menstruation cycle.
Is it still too soon to test?
Should I wait and see if I miss my next period and then take a test or wait about 2 more weeks before taking another one?
And has anyone had an issue with Equate Pregnancy Test? (that's the test I took)
