  • is it possible that slight clicking in the knees could be very early signs of arthritis?

I ve noticed if I have my knees bent and i stand up and bend down, i will hear a clicking every time in my right knee for like 5 minutes or so and then it stops. it s only when I bend down, not if I bend it up. Could this be a very early sign of arthritis? both my mum and dad have arthritis, and when I told my dad about it he said that i should get it checked by a doctor, so i let him know how it doesn t hurt and stuff and he said which is why i should go now before it starts to hurt. I m only 16 so I m not sure, but could this be arthritis?

the reason I included the part of my dad saying to go to the doctor is because since he has arthritis he d have a better understanding of it starting, but i would have thought that it would have started with pain and stiffness

  • Sudden and severe arm pain; what could it be?

Yesterday my dad had a pretty sore arm out of the blue but he thought that rest would help it. Today it's gotten a lot worse and it's even giving him a headache with how bad it is. He tried driving to the shop to get cigarettes but I came with him to make sure he was ok, and he couldn't even move it to go over to the driving. What could it be? Earlier on today he did bump it off of the door frame which has made it worse, but other than that he's had absolutely 0 injuries he can think of.

  • Is it normal to have dry skin on a mole?

I've got a mole on the back of my jawline, and I felt it and it felt a bit crusty so I had to look in the mirror, and it had dry skin on it so I just picked it off. Is this normal?

  • Can sickness and diarrhoea cause kidney issues?

My dads just come back from the doctor about pain in his side and he's also recently had a bout of a bug with sickness and diarrhoea and the doctor said that could have put his kidneys through some bother. Does this make sense? The reason I'm asking here is because the doctors where I am can be pretty **** and aren't fully trustworthy. Would this be serious?

  • Can hemorrhoids swell while having a bowel movement?

When I wipe after having a bowel movement I feel a firm lump that I'm pretty sure is a hemorrhoid. I don't mean to sound vulgar but I stuck my finger up my back passage to feel it again to make sure, (with a wipe over my finger of course), and it felt smaller and a bit flimsy. If this were to be a hemorrhoid, can it be swelling while I have a bowel movement? I am going to see the doctor soon, I'm just looking for some reassurance while I wait since it's Sunday today and I can't get one atm.

  • Is it normal to feel your prostate when wiping your bottom?

I'm 16 years old and for around a year I've always felt a firm bump when I would wipe myself after having a poo. I need to put my finger all the way in to feel it, and I do this just to make sure I'm fully clean. I've thought that this might be hemorrhoids, but I recently got the idea that it may be my prostate. Is this normal? I've got no other symptoms of anything wrong. Nothing wrong with peeing or anything like that.

  • Can the flu temporarily cause yellow skin?

This morning I had bad sickness and ended up having diarrhoea and I'm almost certain it's been a stomach flu, but I feel better now. When I was having the diarrhoea, I looked in the mirror and my face was pretty yellow, but when my mum came up to me like an hour or half an hour later than that she said that I just looked pale, not yellow. Could the flu have caused this?

  • Can not eating properly for a few days make you hungry after you eat?

The past 3 days I've not had the greatest eating due to sleep issues, considering I usually had just crisps and tuna on toast. Today I've ate a burger, but after it I'm still feeling hungry. Is this normal? I would've thought that eating that would have suppressed it for at least a while.

  • Is it true that the shorter/bigger your feet are the shorter your life expectancy is?

I ve read on multiple places that if you have shorter or bigger feet than average, your life expectancy is shorter. Is there anything that disproves this? It kinda creeped me out because I m a 16 year old male and my shoe size is size 5 UK, and apparently the life expectancy for that is mid 60-s. I know that s really far away but it s kind of depressing to think about. I know that obviously that doesn t mean you ll die at that exact age since my auntie has really small feet but she s currently 94 and still healthy.

  • Is it true that there can be nothing done for cramps in the elderly?

My great auntie who is 93 sometimes gets leg cramps although not very often. When she does, though, it's clearly very painful for her since she ends up crying out. She's been to the doctor once but they just said that it's caused by the heart not pumping blood down to the legs efficiently so it causes cramps, but I don't think they even examined her. The doctors near me have been pretty lazy in the past so I don't always trust them.

  • [Serious] can biting your own arm cause a blood clot?

Sometimes when I get really angry at a video game, I just end up biting my upper forearm out of anger, and I done that earlier today around an hour or two ago. I just now realised a bruise which is kinda swollen, and whenever I've gotten a bruise it doesn't swell. Is this just a normal swollen bruise or is it possible I've given myself a blood clot somehow?

  • [Serious question] Is it normal to have a lot of pain in the testicles after masturbating for a long period of time?

Hi everyone. I'm not proud to say this but I just got done masturbating for 3.5 hours. I've realised that my testicles are really painful now when I touch them and they also feel hard. The tube connecting to them feels hard also if that makes sense. Is this normal? Have I just put too much strain on it for going so long?

  • Can anyone answer this question about UK braces?

In the UK, braces are free if you re under 18. However, if you get retainers before braces when you re under 18, can you still get those braces for free when you re 18 or over? My sister had retainers in before braces, and she was meant to get them a while after that but because of family problems we haven t contacted the dentist for a good while and she s 18 now going onto 19 in a month. Would she still be able to get braces for free?

  • How much hair loss is considered normal and not-balding in a shower?

I'm a 16 year old male, and I took a shower just now and realized that there were a lot of hairs in the drain. I do have long hair, so this sounds normal, but I also brushed my hair a while before showering, so there shouldn't have been any stuck hairs that just got out in the shower. I'd say it was about 20-30 hairs in the drain, but since I have long hair it looked like hundreds.

    Is this normal?

  • Is it normal for hair around the hairline to be thinner?

I've noticed how the hair around my hairline is a bit thinner than the rest of my hair; is this normal? I've heard it could be a sign of balding, but I don't think I'll go bald since my dad has a full head of hair at 52 yet I'm not sure about my grandfather on my mums side since I've never met him.

  • Quick flash of darkness like the lights flickered - what could it be?

Around 10 or 15 minutes ago, I had my vision flicker like the lights had been turned off for a split second or as if I blinked, but it was during the day and I certainly didn't blink. What could it be? I feel like I'd look stupid if I went to the doctor over 1 single incident which lasted no longer than a single second. Has anyone else had this?
