  • How long until I can have my first fight?

I'm just wondering how long it will take for me to get good enough to have my first competitive fight as a kickboxer.

I've been group training 3 times a week for a month now, and also do cardio and strength by myself.

So, I was just looking for a rough estimate from anyone out there who has become a fighter or is a trainer, approximately how long it should take before I'll be good enough to get in the ring?

  • Solarium Advice...?

I am a 18 year old male in Australia. I am currently very white skinned, however I want to look tanned for summer.

So, essentially I'm after advice regarding solariums.

I want to know how many sessions it would approximately take to get a nice golden look....not too dark but just a light golden colour.

Currently my skin is about as white as Nicole Kidman if that helps.

    Thanks for any help

  • Where Can I Get Pink Soccer Socks?

I'm looking for bright pink soccer socks for my indoor soccer team, I was wondering if anybody out there knows of any good websites where I can get really good quality pink socks.

Also, if possible, it would be incredible if someone found a link to a website that has good quality socks that you can customize (i.e. print/embroider a team name on)

Thanks for any help you guys give me

  • Rate my health: Blood pressure and heart rate?

I just measured my blood pressure as

    (systolic pressure) 136

    (diastolic pressure) 65

    Heart Rate: 54bpm

I'm an active 18year old male, I play soccer, indoor soccer and go running every know and then.

I know the systolic pressure shouldn't ideally be that high, and that my heart rate is quite low.

But in comparison to each other, aren't the results contradictory?

Can someone please give me some insight into the measurements and what it implies as to my health.

  • Which Should I Buy? Nikon D40X or Canon E400D?

I am going to buy an entry level d-SLR, I'm an amateur enthusiast and am looking to get a good all-round camera.

I am tossing up between the Nikon D40X and the Canon E400D (I think it's called the Digital Rebel XTi in Canada/America)

Also,I wish to take sports photos of Futsal (Indoor Soccer - so its the same as shooting basketball) as well as general photos of people, sights, etc., not professionally but I want good quality photos (rather than click & shoot).

I will buy a 300mm lens if I buy the Nikon, and I'm not sure as to the lens options for the Canon.

Would one camera take better action photos than the other?

    Any comments/advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  • Mozilla Firefox and Wireless Routers?

I am looking to buy a low-end-ish wireless router. It will use the 'G' technology and transmit to my HP DV2000 (has internal wireless)

I am wondering whether or not Mozilla Firefox is compatible with the routers on the market.

I am just curious as I have seen that Netgear does not mention compatibility with their routers and Firefox on their website.

    Thanks

  • Should there be tighter gun laws in America?

Should America put tighter restrictions on the ownership of weapons. Perhaps a gun buy-back scheme, where people get money for the handing over of their weapons.

Of course, we can also be worried that the responsible gun owners will do the right thing, and the criminals will now have the upper edge.

Please, everyone discuss your thoughts on the issue..

  • Do car amps have to run off RCA output?

I'm going to install 6" Pioneer TS-D160R speakers in the back of my car.

I need to know, whether I can run normal wires into & out of the amp, or do amps only 'accept' RCA coaxial cables?

  • Should I rewire my new car speakers to the head-deck?

I'm installing new 4" and 6" 3 ways into my car, and I don't know whether or not to rewire the whole system from the head deck to the new speakers. Or alternatively, use the wires already there and attach a new wiring harness/loom to attach to my new speakers.

Will the original wiring produce really bad performance?

Thanks, your help will be greatly appreciated...
