  • Why do people ask questions they don't want the answers to?

I keep seeing a disturbing trend of people asking a loaded question that requests an example of something, then completely disregarding legitimate answers in order to choose an answer that fits their political agenda.

One good example, this guy goes "How is pro-choice not pro-abortion?". The obvious answer is that you can have strong personal feelings against abortion, and a personal philosophy that wouldn't allow you to have an abortion, while not believing it ought to be part of the governments mandate to regulate it(I'm personally against drugs and excess alcohol too, but I don't believe the government should regulate that either). The correct answer according to the ones that asked the question? "Abortion is wrong!"

Why do people do this? Is there something to be gained?

  • Do Republicans hate children?

The Republican dominated house and congress, along with a Republican president, ran a massive defecit every single year they were in power.

The Republican president worked to veto bills which would reduce funding to debt-sponsored projects.

The Republican president DIDN'T veto a bill that sent 600 dollars, paid for with debt, to every family in America.

The same Republican president worked previously to sent a cheque, paid for with debt, to every working family in America.

Republicans have no problem with running massive debts. The American people never intend to pay it back, so our children will be left footing the bill. Do Republicans hate children?
