  • Scholarship not yet awarded. Financial aid loans going through.?

    Hi!

So I got a grant or scholarship for about 1450 towards tuition and a loan for 2350. My tuition after the pell grant is 1500. Now my school says there's been an issue and my scholarship wont go through until a little after tuition is due and so they told me to take my school loan so I meet the deadline. Now I tried to get this clarified but I am still confused. Will I get the money from my loan back after the scholarship or grant goes through? Because I honestly didn't want to take that much out in school loans. I just wanted about a thousand for books, supplies and new glasses. Has this ever happened to anyone where your grant applied after the tuition due date? What happened?

  • Am I pregnant?

I last had my period on February 23. It lasted about 5 days. It was bit strange because I was a week early. But recently I have been improving my health and losing weight so it didn't bother me. But here I am on April 6 and nothing. My cycle is 28 days consistently except late month. I took a test three times and each time it came out negative. I have all my period signs though. Hunger and cramps. I did have some spotting but it was light in pink color for about 2 days. Since then nothing. I wonder if that was a period and the weight loss (about 15 pounds in 3 months) is making it lighter. Should I schedule a doctors appointment or should I wait until next month and see if I miss another period? Oh and yes I have had sex. I would be happy to have a child but I feel at a loss at what to do especially since all those tests are negative.

  • Detail on getting my misdemeanor expunged.?

I live in Utah and in the fall of 2014 I was charged with a misdemeanor. I had my court date later that year and it was all finalized. The judge felt I had truly made an honest mistake and said I could get it expunged after a certain amount of time. The time has passed but it has been awhile and all I have no idea where my papers went. Where would I go to find out what my case number is and what steps do I do after that? I have tried researching but I am at a loss with all the info I read and who to contact.

  • Looking for an Occupational Therapist to answer some questions for my business paper about their career?

I have to research occupational therapy for a business paper. I was wondering if there were any occupational therapists willing to answer a few questions for me since one of my sources has to be from an interview. You can email me ( tiffany_t0612@yahoo.com) or here are the questions..

    1. What made you go into occupational therapy?

    2. Have you felt like you made the right decisions?

    3. How is the work/life balance?

    4. What was your major in college? What did you feel were the most useful courses you could take that helped you figure out if this was the right path? Did you do well in school and did you have many

    5. Was getting accepted into a masters program difficult? What did you look for in a Masters program?

    6. After the Masters did you feel qualified for the job?

    7. What were the cons and pros of the program?

    8. I know this one is a more personal. What do you make a year or what is the salary range that you notice most occupational therapists make in your area or work setting?

    9. Cons/pros of the job?

    10. What do you believe an occupational therapist should have in their personality?

    11. Are there some things you would change about the job?

    12. Your favorite patient story (I don't need names)

    13. Any advice for a future hopeful occupational therapist?

  • Can you refurbish furniture in a self storage unit?

Something I love to do is flip furniture. However, I am moving and renting a basement apartment and I have no access to the backyard. I can't do it inside my house and there is no garage so I was wondering if you can refurbish furniture in a self storage unit? Or does anyone else have suggestions?

  • Do you have to rehab a house right away if it's extremely destroyed?

I've been looking into rehabbing a house. I'm looking into starting a bed and breakfast. I'm just wondering if all the remodels have to be done by a certain time. Like can I do the main floor in the first year? Then the upper floor another year. I'm just wondering if there are any laws or would i be constantly fined?

  • Period is a week early, stopped for a few hours then came back hours later?

So I got my period at night yesterday, a week early, which I figured was just stress. Woke up today and got ready for work, changed my tampon, and left at 11.

I left work at 7pm and changed my pad at 7:30. I changed my tampon and it was hardly used. Normally I'm a really heavy bleeder so I was shocked. I checked and it had stopped. No period at all. I freaked out thinking it was implantation bleeding but decided to wait it out. My period restarted about 30 minutes ago and now I'm seriously confused. I'm 19 if that has anything to do with it. Another weird thing is that it's much lighter than usual.

    Anyone know what this is?

  • Skin care for clear skin? What do I do?

I have never suffered from acne. I usually get about a pimple about every 3 months or if I eat a ton and I mean a ton of pork. But I feel like I should still be taking care of my skin. I'm just not sure how though? I can't find many articles about skin care for clear skin. The only skin care problem I seem to have is that my eyes always look tired but that's been a lifelong problem. Any tips are appreciated!!!!!!

  • Is my connection time enough? (IAH) 37 miniutes?

I've scheduled a summer flight for 2 from Salt Lake City to Newark. There are 2 connection stops. My main worry is that for the first connection we won't have enough time We would arrive at 10:34 am and leave at 11:11am (really hoping the lucky number is on my side). So a 37 minute layover time!

I bought the ticket from a travel agent online for United Airlines because I'm a college student on a tight budget. I've already sent them questions about this but I would like to know from other people as well. Anyone familiar with the flight or airport?

I'm hoping that since we are leaving from Salt Lake in the morning we will be on time and since it will be summer no weather problems. I've flown a lot and I know I'm being slightly paranoid but I want to make sure this all goes okay.

    Thanks in Advance!

  • I supported myself half the year but so did my parents, so who files?

For half the year my father supported me. Due to some unfortunate circumstances I was forced to leave home and support myself. Luckily I had savings and managed to find a job. I paid for my tuition, books and rent and everything else by myself for the other half.

So my question is how does this work? Do I let him claim me in trade for him giving me financial aid papers? And if that happens should I still file taxes since I am making an income? Or would it be better to just file by myself?

  • I am confused on which path to take: further my education or travel?

I attended my first semester of college and it was okay academic wise. I only failed my biology course but passed 4 other classes. M GPA is a 2.9 and I want to be a doctor. Now first off I want to say I am not seeking advice on how to become a doctor. I know what to do to pull up my GPA and the requirements. It was very hard first term though because f a lot of emotional drama. I didn't make many friends since I was focused on trying to pay for school and the extra curriculars I joined I often felt excluded and found it hard to talk. Honestly, I lost all motivation for school and can't really find it. I can't attend next semester due to financial reasons, but after I should.

However, recently I've been hit with this bug to travel the world. Most likely to volunteer around and just find out what is out there. Plus, I want to find out who I am and who I want to be, I just don't know if it's smart to go. I'd save up money for a year and a half and then go with about 13+ grand saved up. I know I would sacrifice a lot going. I honestly don''t know how long I would travel either.

I would like to hear experience from travelers. Did you find it easier to go after college? when you came back did you settle in easily? I know study abroad is an amazing experience so I on't need advice on that. Or did someone prefer going before college?

  • Hair/beauty/fashion/makeup tips?

I'm going to college and people tell me I look really young like 15 instead of 18. So I was wondering if I could get tips, I'm pretty but a lot of my friends say i have more potential to look like an adult.
