How can I get my young lionhead rabbit to come to me or trust me?
My wife and I recently purchased our first pet, a "lionhead" bunny. He's black all over and has a double-mane. He's only about 6 months old now, we got him at 10 weeks old, and we've built him a 3 story cage and pampered him, but not without trying to convince him to trust us. We only pick him up like twice a week to get used to us or to groom him, because you know that lionhead coat can get out of control if you don't groom him haha.
Ironically, he loves it when we use our feet to pet him, he even rubs his chin on our feet and nudges his whole body into them, but the second we try to use our hands to pet him, he runs away. We coax him to come closer by offering carrots and parsley, and baby spinach. But he usually eats them then runs back into a dark corner of his cage, instead of sticking around to investigate us, like i heard bunnies like to do.
He's very nice, never nips at us, and never gets aggressive, he's actually very laid back and loves to sprawl out around the living room when he's not doing "Binkies" (hopping around in excitement to let his energy loose). When he's laying down, he stares at us all day and sometimes even at night. He does sleep, but I guess my biggest worry overall is...
Do you think he'll eventually trust us to just lay by us or let us pet him with our hands? Is he just still young and learning?
3 AnswersOther - Pets9 years agoCan I legally be let go from work in the state of Florida, if I've I'm disabled?
!! Please read this before answering !!
I live in the state of Florida. I became disabled while working over 4 years ago but didn't achieve the official status of disability until more than 2 years ago, also while working. My supervisor and management have been supportive of my disability until recently. There were some management staff changes and my new manager called me today and asked if I'd be able to return to work soon. I explained that I still required more surgeries before I could return. He then hinted to me that if I wouldn't be able to return to work, that he may have to let me go. I already have a doctor's note in my employee work file explaining my conditions and my limitations which include being unable to work when my condition worsens, and this was accepted months after my official disability was accepted.
For the last 6 months that I haven't worked, my supervisor explained to me that since there were no labor hours to give, that wouldn't have to worry about it because even if I was able to work, they wouldn't be able to give me hours. Now I'm being told by a new manager that if I don't return to work now that they have hours, I may be let go. Is this legal? They want me to request an official leave of absence through HR, which I just completed 15 minutes ago (I'm waiting for some paperwork they have to send me). I mean they agreed to let me work under my doctor's limitations and even supported me for 6 months, and now that there's new management, it seems they're trying to get rid of me.
Do I want to work? Yes! Can I? No. I have multiple open wounds being treated daily and physical therapy twice a week, with both surgical and doctor visits in between these days. I'm making a noble effort to get better and return to work. I have Medicare as my primary and Medicaid as my secondary coverage so I'm using these to the best advantage to get better. I don't want to be disabled. I want to work but I physically cannot. I feel like I'm being discriminated against because of my disability and they're using it as an excuse to fire me.
I'm not completely familiar with my rights as a disabled citizen and I don't know where to go to get the answers that I need so I'm trying here.
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoAre Military Personnel allowed to pull rank and use it to intimidate or insult people in public or in games?
In almost everyday situations, at least 1 military personnel will suddenly involve their rank in an argument or in military games (an example would be Call of Duty). The primary interest in the argument would be pertaining to something completely different, and in no way does the civilian insult the person's military status, because they don't know about it. I see this almost everyday. The phrases "I'm a motherf*cking marine. I'll kick your *ss". Is it (in a military law sense) legal for military personnel to "abuse" (for lack of a better word) their military status against a civilian when they are not even on active duty.
I ask because I feel it's really wrong for someone to use that approach when:
1. It's showing that the military is there to dominate civilians
2. It displays that civilians are a lower life form than a military soldier.
3. Americans are supposed to feel protected by their military, not intimidated.
Lastly:
Can a military personnel be court-marshalled for such behavior? Seeing as how it is embarrassing to both their officers, and units, and branches. It's not how they were taught to be towards their fellow Americans.
8 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoCan you be charged again, if a company sent you a package, even though you already receieved a refund prior?
A friend of mine recently ordered a package and because of the long wait, he canceled his order under the terms that "if it was not being processed already, he could receive a refund". So he was told he was refunded, and got his money back, but 1 week later, he received the package, and 1 week later, he still hasn't been charged. Does this mean, he got the package free?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHow should I format my Blog site?
I want to start blogging and I want to get my own .com website to do it and stuff.
My biggest concern is how to format my website. I see some people use PHP, and others only use xHTML coding.
I'm looking for a way to simply type and format what I want to say and *click* have it uploaded.

I became a little curious when I noticed that half of our country was covered in "Brown" mountainous terrain on half of it's side on most maps.
