My name is Richie. My friend Anabel and I are the same age. We both grew up in a rural town in southern U.S. and she and I have always been close ever sincw preschool. Dralnu Lich Lord Instant/Sorcery/Counter deck?

Dralnu is the most underestimated card in the game. seriously his drawback is nothing compared to his advantage. especially when my friend has grave pact and a million sacrifice cards with grave titan. he just makes tokens, sacs them to kill my creatures, and counters everything else over and over and i cant to anything no matter what deck i play. did i mention he mills? yeah that too, including traumatize. he has a million other ridiculous combos too. i enter tournies with my edh deck and i have yet to lose to anyone but Dralnu. he is just unbeatable. counter everything, kill everything, u cant do anything. srsly, he should be banned from edh. so not fun to verse.

Seriously people underestimate him. gayest thing ever. my friend just counters everything in my blue black white lifegain deck and i cant do anything. how do you deal with that?

Any suggestions would be great. My main focus is to try to remove any inconvenient cards my opponent might play and use exalt to beat the crap out of my foe, and extort maybe if I have some excess mana. I also have Chalice for the annoying token decks. Set that to 2 and tokens become much less problematic (speaking of Chalice, does its affect screw me also? If so, can I get around that somehow?). I think land might be my big flaw since most of it comes in tapped. Should I adjust that? If yes, how so? Anything else I should add or subtract from this equation?

My friend has a general that gets a counter for every forest he controls. he then has parallel something and doubles his land or something. Then he has something that lets him make tokens on both turns and the parallel whatever makes them double also. then he has a card that makes his mana never resolve. by turn 3 he has 30 tokens, practically infinite mana, sometimes they all have haste cuz of some enchantment, and he even has a counter card for green. if I don't draw wrath of god or some blow up, I lose by turn 3. I play orzhov, exalted/some extort here and there, and many exile cards, but I usually lose. how do I combat this? can I use chalice of the void to stop him from making a zillion tokens? how can I stop his general from becoming a 16/16 by turn two? he always draws what he needs by the way. he is like yugioh. all I can think of is exiling his cheap general and pray he hasn't drawn his counter spell card..

So far I have asked two questions today about MTG and they have been answered by judges for MTG. However, I am staring at the rulebook as I read their answers and there are blatant contradictions between these judges and the rules.

For instance, a I am told that -1/-1 counters offset and remove +1/+1 counters and vice versa. However, in the official rules, in the case of undying: "Undying relies on the last known information about the permanent just before it was put into a graveyard. If that permanent had a +1/+1 counter on it, then receives enough -1/-1 counters for it to be put into a graveyard due to having 0 toughness or lethal damage marked on it, it won't return to the battlefield despite the state-based action of +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters "cancelling each other out". As the permanent last existed on the battlefield, it had a +1/+1 counter on it, so undying will not trigger."

Therefore undying cannot be repeated without literally having the counter removed, perhaps via Thrull Parasite.

Here's another example. A judge told me Gravecrawler + Carrion Feeder is not an infinite because you need to pay mana to cast gravecrawler from the grave. This however, is not stated on the gravecrawler card. It simply says, "you may cast from grave if you control a zombie"

A third instance: Apparently Nether Traitor, Genesis Chamber, and Phyrexian Altar does not create infinite mana according to some judges. They deem that if Nether Traitor is recasted (via sacrificing the token created by Genesis when Nether was originally casted from hand) from the grave after being sacrificed to the Altar, it does not create a token since Genesis only creates tokens when a creature is cast. However, Genesis Chamber's text does not say a spell must be casted, rather it merely says played. Therefore you can in fact create infinite mana via Nether Traitor, Genesis Chamber, and Phyrexian Altar.

Is it me, or are the MTG judges terrible?

Specifically, could you sacrifice Gravecrawler to Carrion Feeder over and over again? Carrion Feeder is a zombie (I think) and so Gravecrawler comes back via its ability. Couldn't you then sacrifice it repeatedly for infinite +1/+1 counters on Carrion? On that note, if you have Blood Artist on the field when you continuously sacrifice gravecrawler (assuming this is allowed), wouldn't that be infinite extort?

By the way, I play EDH (Commander) and my deck (which is Orzhov) is full of creatures with extort (as well as Blood Artist and Blind Obedience) and some zombies with undying. Also I have some sweet combos such as Underworld Dream + Font of Mythos, Pontiff of Blight + Rise of the Dark Realms/Liliana Vess's ultimate, Divinity of Pride + Indestructability, Genesis Chamber + Obzedat Ghost Council (Obzedat is my general), and many others. I also have many artifacts and fetch cards that help me manipulate my deck/hand so I get the cards I need.

My main go-to infinite is Phyrexian Altar, Genesis Chamber, and Nether Traitor, to create infinite mana and then if I have an extorter on the field, I extort infinitely as I continuously recast Nether Traitor from the graveyard and the Myr Tokens Gensis Chamber creates.

However, I feel like since EDH focuses heavily on auto-wins, I wanted to know if A) Carrion Feeder + Gravecrawler = Infinite beat in, and B) if my deck is even viable. I ask the latter because at first while I was making this deck I thought, "an infinite mana combo would really boost my extorting capabilities" but it seems like I'm not even using Gravecrawler with my undying zombies very much. I typically just get some random extorter and then play the infinite mana/extort combo to win rather than run my gravecrawler + carrion or gravecrawler + blood artist + some random zombie combo. If you have suggestions, that would be great.

Oh one last thing, both Phyrexian Altar and Carrion Feeder do not specify the owner in which a creature must be sacrificed to activate their ability. Does it need to be under my control necessarily?

I understand that a creature with undying returns to battle if it had zero +1/+1 counters on it at any point during play, and that -1/-1 counters though negate the effect of the +1/+1 counter, does not necessarily remove the +1/+1 counter entirely and therefore allow an undying creature to again trigger undying. However, say you have a card such as Thrull Parasite, who (after paying two life) removes counters from target creatures completely, and you activate this ability toward let's say, Walking Dead, whose undying had just been triggered and therefore has a +1/+1 counter. Does this allow Walking Dead to re-trigger undying if it is sent to the graveyard or is there a ruling on that? If there is no rule forbidding removing counters to undying creatures, are there any cards that have the same ability as Thrull Parasite but instead of reducing life instead cost mana? Thank you.

I am somewhat of a modern pragmatist. I am trying to explain to my friend how I reconcile religion with pragmatism using William James's essay on "What Pragmatisn Means" and the story of Jobe from the Bible, but she doesn't get it. Can someone help me?

Use it to make exort free? My whole deck if full of extorting creatures. My intuition tells me no but I want to see what others say since Im not really an expert.

I am play Path of Radiance for the first time. I am also halfway through Sacred Stones and I decided to level pretty much everyone with the Tower because why the hell not? I want to do the same in Path of Radiance. Is there a way to do that? Is there a Tower thing or some other means?

Nagato possessed the Rinnegan, the ulimate visual prowess, so when he was alive he was obviously stronger than Obito whose Mangekyo Sharingan paled in comparison to the Rinnegan. Pain was practically a God. How then could there be someone else pulling the strings. Does anyone think perhaps the writers went a bit too far throwing Obito into the mix?

In the Manga, it is simply implied that they captured Yagura (Three Tails Jinchuriki) and extracted it, killing Yagura in the process. However in the anime, there is a filler in which a child called Yukimaru is implied to be the son of Yagura and has a connection to the Three Tails which somehow roams free. Yukimaru also mentioned his mother is dead so I assumed it was because the Akatsuki killed her, but then why does the Three Tails still roam free and when did they recapture it?

Usually I never get up in the morning since I don't work and I hate mornings, but I had nightmares all night and couldn't sleep much so now I'm exhausted but I don't want to just sleep all day. How can I wake myself up? No coffee because I don't like it. Suggestions? Would tea work?
