  • If given the opportunity to kill a bigfoot, would you?

I think getting a sasquatch in the crosshairs or a nice high powered rifle would be the ultimate big game trophy, though a 12 ga. up close may be a better choice so you don't ruin his hide for the rug you're gonna have made out of him, like a bear skin rug. Personally, if I could get a bigfoot any way I wanted, I'd love to track him down with dogs like they do for wild boar and take out a full grown sasquatch with a sweet combat knife right to the chest, like a Kabar, or a spear would make a good choice too. Man I hope I can bag me a 'sqautch!

  • Tranny problem on a '94 Cherokee?

I just bought a '94 cherokee, 4.0,inline 6, 146K miles, 4WD, auto(not sure of the tranny model). Anyways, when the Jeeps been sitting over night or for a few hours and has cooled down, when I get in to drive somewhere, the tranny stays in 1st gear till about 3,500 rpm before it shifts into 2nd, after it shifts into second, everything seems to be fine. And if it's warmed up, it shifts 1-2 just fine. After looking on the net for some answers, I think(pray) that it might just be the throttle position sensor, which is cheap compared to a new transmission, does anyone have any experience with this kind of problem? Do you think a new TPS might solve it?, also, when you put a new TPS on, is it something you just bolt on and go? or do you have to adjust it? I've owned two other Cherokee's, '87 and a '90, both had about 250K on them and I drove them up to 300K, and the only thing I had to replace was a starter, so I know they are good reliable vehicles, I'm just praying that I didn't get a lemon. Any and all info and answers will be GREATLY appreciated, thanks guys/gals

  • Your favorite varmint rifle?

What's your favorite varmint/predator rifle, caliber and scope setup? Out of all the rifles I've fired, I think the Ruger M77 VT in .22-250 with a Leupold 6-24X40 scope takes the cake, wow, that was a sweet shooting rifle, a little heavy to lug around though, lol

  • bolt action rifle question?

I was curious to see if anyone on here has any experience with the Marlin XL-7 rifle, or the Mossberg ATR/4X4 rifles, I saw that the Cabela's store near me has the Marlin on sale now for $269, and the thought of having a cheap rifle to take hunting and not having to worry about getting beat up would be nice. thanks for your answers

  • Any experience with pop-up style blinds?

I'd like to hear your opinion about pop up style blinds, the kind that look like a small tent with holes for viewing/shooting, let me know if you've had success with them or if you think another method is more effective(tree stand), thanks for your answers, by the way I'd use the blind for white tail and predator hunting.

  • Your choice for a new varmint/predator rifle?

I already have a .223, but I'm wanting to get something with a LOT more zip to it, I'm considering .220 swift, .22-250, .223 WSSM, .243, .204 Ruger, and .25-06, I am not worried about keeping the fur, so massive exit wounds don't bother me. I have fired .22-250 and .243's before and I know they are really good calibers, also I reload so ammo price isn't a concern. Also does anyone know how single shot rifles ( NEF, H&R, T/C) compare to bolt actions in terms of accuracy, I'm looking at the Remington 700, Ruger 77 and Winchester 70's(if I can find one in good shape at a reasonable price). Let me know what your choice would be and what kind of rifle you prefer, also I'm not interested in Savage rifles, for that same amount of $ I'll buy a Remington over a Savage, thanks

  • Reloading help for the .44 Mag

I would like to know of what powder any of you have had the best luck with, I want FULL power magnum loads, not .44 Special loadings, I've been looking at Hodgdon H110 and Winchester 296, and Lil' Gun, does anyone have any experience with these powders, by the way the gun is a Ruger Vaquero, 5 1/2" bbl. Stainless Steel, also does anyone know if the Vaquero is as strong as the Super Blackhawk/ Blackhawk?, I remember seeing in reloading manuals a few years back, sections for Ruger/TC only, and now that I've decided to start reloading I can't find these loads specifically for Rugers, I own the newest Hornady, and the newest Lyman manuals, I'm thinking of using 180-200 gr. JHPs, I like the extreme velocity/energy of the lighter bullets. Thanks in advance for any knowledge to this newbie.

  • Best cartridge for guided Sasquatch hunt?

I'm hopin' to bag a bigfoot, what cartridge/firearm would you use to hunt one of these mythical beasts? I'm leaning toward the .30-378 Weatherby Magnum, excellent energy, flat shooting, and accurate, as most shots at bumbles are LOOOOOONG range, I'd really like to get one up close with a .460 S&W mag also. In the .30-378 Weatherby I'm thinking of using the 110 gr. hornady v-max bullet loaded to near 3900 fps, any suggestions?
