  • What takes up more fuel?

    Accelerating quickly to 60 using all your gears, or getting to 60 by flooring it and fighting your car from stalling in your highest gear?

    Is it your pedal position that determines how much gas you use?

    BUT, how about the conservation of energy? I mean, by accelerating really fast, your engine produces lots of heat and sound, reducing the efficiency of your engine. Where as, in the highest gear, you (should be in my mind) accelerating slower is more gas efficient no?
