  • 2 missed miscarriages in 8 months, why?

    Ladies.

I have just found out that I have had my second missed miscarriage in 8 months. First one in February at 6w 2d found out at 8w 5d. This one also found at 8w 3d and lost at 6w 2d. Ironically I did hear a 106 heart rate at 6w 1d. I have a 2 and half year old son that was easy to conceive and carry. Any idea why I am now having recurrent miscarriages. A chromosome study was done on both. The one in february was fine, no abnormalities. Just had the D&C done on this one on Saturday so it will be a few weeks before i get this result.

Has anyone had a similiar experience and found out why? Thanks

  • What causes men to not be able to "finish"?

Hi, What would cause a man in a happy relationship with his wife to be unable to "finish" during sexual relations? Does that mean he is not as happy as he claims, is it physical or is it mental? Please note that he was all for having the relations at the times he was not able to finish so its not like he wasn't in the mood.

  • Why abnormal pap and no HPV?

My question is I have just received word from my ob that i have yet another abnormal pap this year and she would like to do a colposcopy. She also told me that my hpv test is negative so I don't have it. I was researching on the internet and kept seeing that HPV is the primary cause of abnormal paps. So if I don't have HPV what could be causing this.

Other important information. This is the 3rd year in a row with an abnormal pap. First year they did a colposcopy and said things were fine. Following year (last year) i also had an abnormal pap and they didn't ask to do a colposcopy. Now this year abnormal and they want to do one. All three years my HPV test has been negative.

    What is going on??

  • Colposcopy scheduled and TTC?

Ladies, my question is I have just received word from my ob that my pap smear came back abnormal and they have scheduled a colposcopy for this coming Friday. I am TTC and this current weekend I believe is my ovulation date. Will a colposcopy do anything to mess up my chances this month?

Just a few other details. This is my third abnormal pap and second colposcopy. My HPV test is negative and always has been with the abnormal paps. Not even sure why my pap is abnormal if I don't have HPV which I believed was the main cause of abnormal paps.

    thanks!

  • First Response Early Preg Test Ques?

Hi, I am now on CD 33, temp still way up over cover line, cycles usually are 26-29 days. I have taken about 5 FREPT and every time, including today I believe it is BFN. Here is my question. First test was CD 27 and last test was this morning. All using FMU. Each time I get a very, very faint second line. At first I thought this may have been a faint positive. But since the line has not darkened at all I am starting to wonder if everyone gets this line on the Negative, like an evap line. It is pink. So light that I could not even take a picture of it to post.

I am very confused about this cycle. I did buy and try a dollar tree HTP and there was no second line at all therefore as BFN as it could be. But the question is, have you taken a First Response Early Preg test, got a BFN but had that very, very faint pink line.

I do know that folks say a line is a line. But I don't think so as it has not gotten any darker. I am also pretty familiar with pregnancy tests as this is my third pregnancy. First was successful and I have a beautiful 2 year old. Second ended in miscarriage.

  • 9 week ultrasound measured 6 w/ faint heartbeat (reposted)?

Hi, yesterday i had my first ultrasound (trans vaginal) my lmp is 12/5/09 which makes me 8w 6d. I was using a bbt and opk tracker so I am sure my ovulation date was day 14. Therefore just by dating I really should be close to 8w 6d. The ultrasound tech and the doctor both said the measurement was around 6 weeks and there was a faint heartbeat.

The doctor told me to prepare myself for a non viable pregnancy. I am scheduled to go back in 5 days for another ultrasound to see if there is any change.

Please share any stories you have where the circumstances were similar. What happened did your baby make it? I just don't understand why I have a three week difference and a very faint heartbeat.

    thanks

  • 1 Year Old Feeding Question?

My little one is going to be 1 this weekend and I am a bit concerned about his approach to food. He still refuses all finger foods. He picks them up and drops them off his high chair. When i try to make a game out of it and bite half of his gerber puff and offer him the other half he smiles, takes the puff and just plays with it. When i have tried putting it in his mouth he gags.

He also doesn't want any part of any kind of table food. He eats level 2 foods and gags at anything else. He is still getting most of his nutrition from his bottle and I am concerned. I keep reading on here that 1 is when they should go to cows milk and that they should regularly be feeding themselves. But he has no interest in feeding himself and I can't switch to cows milk yet since he needs the formula for most of his nutrition. He is a pretty skinny kid 50% percentile in height and weight. His 1 year appointment is not for a few weeks and I really would like the opinion of other moms. Is this just one of those things that show that each baby develops at a different rate?

  • 34 weeks brown discharge (TMI alert)?

I went to the the emergency room on Thursday and they checked my cervix to see if there was any dialation. I was experiencing contractions. The contractions turned out to be brought upon by dehydration.

When I got up to leave i noticed a significant amount of blood on the exam bed. The nurse said that was normal when they check your cervix. Later in the day the red blood had turned to brown. I had brown discharge (had to change pads 3x yesterday) and still have same amount of brown discharge coming out on the pad and when i wipe today and it is Saturday.

I did follow up yesterday morning with my own doctors office and she said that some mild spotting is normal after a cervical check. Is filling 3 pads yesterday and still seeing it today on pad "mild"? The flow does not seem to be even. Sometimes more comes out then other times.

Is this what happens when they check your cervix? By the way my cervix was closed. At what point will this stop? Should I be concerned?

  • 33 weeks pregnant Pain in lower pelvic region?

I am 33 weeks and 3 days pregnant and for about a week i have had a pain that feels like someone kicked me between the legs. I mentioned it to my ob-gyn last Thursday and she said if it doesn't get better call. It is now Tuesday and the uncomfortable pain is still with me. I see her again next week.

I am getting used to the idea that there are a lot of typical pains in pregnancy and generally do not like to call each time something new pops up. I have had a complication free pregnancy (except anemia) I read up on SPD but I don't think it is my pelvis that is sore it is really in the pubic area.

Also, when the doctor checked the baby position she suggested he may be breech at the time so it can't be that his head is engaged. Additionally, I wear a maternity support belt but that does not seem to help. It feels most uncomfortable to walk and move around. Does this sound typical for this stage of pregnancy? Is there anything that helps to relieve the discomfort?

  • Should I be concerned - New Mole on areola during pregnancy?

I am 23 weeks pregnant and i noticed in October sometime a dark almost freckle on the edge of my areola near where the raised milk bumps are showing up. At the time i didn't think much of it as our breasts undergo so many changes during pregnancy. I have been noticing that it looks a bit bigger but it could just appear that way since the girls seem to keep growing. Is this something that has happened to anyone else during pregnancy? It is not even or round it is more oblong in shape and still very small (like the size of a tick). I will mention it to my doctor at my next appointment but was just curious if this happened to you other ladies while pregnant? Thanks.

  • 21 weeks extreme fatigue?

I been feeling extremelly fatigued over the last 2-3 weeks and sometimes a touch dizzy. I recently noticed that i have chapped lips and I am not peeing as much. I also feel generally lethargic and get winded easily from a walk up a flight of stairs. I have lower back pains and typical round ligament pains as well. The baby is kicking up a storm so i know he is ok.

My question is that i don't know if this normal for this stage of pregnancy? Granted my life is hectic. I commute 2 hours each way to work (4 hours a day) and work full time. I leave my house by 645 am and return home by 715 pm. I am usually in bed by 800 pm so i thought i was getting enough rest. On top of it i have a history of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome so again not sure if this type of fatigue is normal at this stage or if this is because of my work schedule/ health issues.

  • Normal in early pregnancy?

I am 5 weeks pregrnant and up until yesterday I had the AF type cramps, frequent urination and extreme fatigue. Starting yesterday I had none of those symptoms and I feel the same way today. This is my first pregnancy and I am not sure what to expect. I am scared that maybe I am not pregnant anymore but I have not had any pain or bleeding. Not sure if this matters but i am 35 and we got pregnant pretty much right after the first time weTTC. Because I do not have any pain or bleeding it seems a bit premature to call the doctor just based on a "feeling". I am scheduled for my first visit with ultrasound a week from today so i know i will learn in a week time but right now that wait seems like forever. Any advice? Is this normal in early pregnancy? Thanks for your thoughtful answers.

  • Why is there no CM?

I am on day 13 of a 28 day cycle. I just checked and I am completely dry. I am 35, was on bcp for 17 years but came off 3 months ago. I quickly resumed 28 day cycles. If there is no CM does that mean I won't be able to get preg? Does everyone have CM or does it go away with age. Also, even though i have had my three periods at regular intervals since coming off bcp, could i possibly not be ovulating? Do you get your period without resuming ovulation?

    Thanks for any advice.

  • Wedding vendors San Juan, PR?

We are getting married in San Juan PR this fall. We booked the reception location at El Convento but still need to book a florist a DJ and a photographer. We are on a limited budget and therefore would appreciate any suggestions for vendors from the area that are good and not too expensive.
