I had surgery on my knee in 2008. It was called a knee arthoscopic surgery. I havent had any problems with my knee till now. I have been doing a hip hop ab tape to lose weight and tone up. Did I injure my knee while exercising?

I own a 2000 buick century. The tempurature gauge goes all the way to hot and the temp light comes on. It doesnt overheat but it doesnt blow heat either. After awhile the gauge will go down then it starts blowing warm air. I have had the water pump, hoses, timing belt changed. I have coolant in it too. Could it be the thermostat or something else?

to this equation:

=1/2((3^n +1)+1)

please help my husband he is taking math on line and doesnt understand how they got from the first equation to the second one.. would greatly appreciate if you could explain this
