Hi, I have been looking for a star fleet or similar club in York and wondered if anyone knew of any Sci-fi related events in the area or would be interested to join any?

I need to take images of specific news stories in papers, for example on specific dates, where would I be able to find copies of these papers, I need physical (or scans of) not online texts, our local library is too small and only holds local papers, so where can I find the broadsheets ie the Guardian?

I am currently writing a research paper on how the effects of police mis-information can cause a delay in arrest therefore cause more of an incident/problem in the long run, for example Ian Huntley (police where aware of him however due to spelling mistakes and missing reports he was let out of custody), or the Yorkshire Ripper (police didnt communicate so murders went on for much longer than should have), unfortunately I don't really keep up with the news so these are all I can think of, can anyone recommend any other big stories which are related? ANY help would be massively appreciated!!

I heard someone read in a newspaper they had started one but cant find any details anywhere

This happened in July last year, I recieved a letter asking me for details of an alleged incident, I rang the company and explained there was no incident, not only was I not in an incident but my car was in a car park where I was doign training for a temp job. He said thats fine send a letter with details, which I did including a quote from my local authorities explaining no incident occured (when I spoke to him aparantly the claim is that I smashed into the back of someones car causing considerable damage) I stated in my letter that I see the claim as false and unless I hear further of the matter then I shall take it as this has been stopped (or something in those lines) I didnt hear back.

I rang my insurance company for a re-quote at the ed of my policy and they asked me if that was my only incident!! So the other comapny had ignored my information I sent them and claimed anyway. I told them this is false and that I contacted them etc and they said they would send the forms etc across.

Is there an official line I can go through, other than my old insurance company, as they dont seem to want to do much about this, even though they paid out £1000 in damages!!!! As its effecting all my new quotes, my insurance has gone up from £300 to £703 because of this single thing!!!

Hiya, me and my partner are moving to Bridgend from Yorkshire in the next 3 months and wondered what local papers there are in the area (as I was hoping to get on their website to look at lettings/jobs) etc also I feel that an areas local paper can help when thinking about moving there.
