SILVERBACK

Hi guys. Recently completed my Colt 1917 Super Snub. Mechanically perfect, and it went together so fast that I really hadn't given much thought to how I wanted to finish it. I've been looking at Cerakote and Dura-Coat info, but it seems you need some equipment I dont have. Isn't there a rattle-can equivilant that I can spray on this old gun and get a decent finish? Any body else ever have any success doing this? The gun DOES currently show some rust.

Hi guys. So. not so long ago, I bought a Colt New Service revolver. A lot like my old Colt 1917. This one needed a new firing pin,and as they are scarce as hen's teeth, I took an old chunk of high carbon knife steel, and made my own firing pin. Its an old DA .45. And since the chambers are bored straight thru, it can't be used without moon clips. No big deal. The gun Serial number puts it at about 1915. All matching numbers. A lot of patina on the finish, but 100% shootable. So what's this old gun worth? Thanks for the input. Oh, it test fired well.

Over the weekend, I ran acrossed a Saiga 12-gauge shotgun, at a flea market of all places. This thing had every single accessory you can imagine. Picattiny rail system with laser and flashlight, vertical fore grip, huge riflescope on top, hi cap mag, collapsable butt-stock. Seller wanted 1200 bucks. I had no interest in spending 1200 dollars on a twelve gauge, but just how much are these things worth anyway?
