My relative bought some furnature from Ashleys. He thought he was making payments on the furnature and he was only leasing it. WHen we asked them to come get it they could not set a date to get it. What are the laws governing a buisness when it comes to Repo. I offered to take it back and they said I couldnt. They wanted him to make payments even though he no longer wants it. He has already paid double the retail on the stuff and at the end of the contract he will have paid over 300% above the retail price, he cant afford to live or feed himself with these payments. The contract says he can send it back after five months without penalty and they said he will have a default on his credit for sending it back. I can not find a consumer lawyer for this and the consumer is a senior citizen. This company rips people off in a huge way!
