  • Anybody experience a very hard Uterus that just doesn't get soft for several hours? 39 weeks 4 days.?

Ok, this is my second baby, and yesterday the doctor told me my cervix was long, hard and closed. Today for at least the past 2 hours my uterus has been rock hard. It is like gas pain, but I just went to the bathroom, and it should not be related to that. Anybody experience this before, and do you think it is a reason to call the doctor or is it too early still? It is not extremely painful but just very very uncomfortable.

  • Has anyone gone into labor shortly after your doctor said you are not even close?

Okay, so I am 39 weeks and 3 days. My doctor says that there have been absolutely no cervical changes. I am really tired, and I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this and then gone into labor soon afterward anyway - naturally.

  • Has anyone's waters ruptured BEFORE seeing the bloody show?

I seem to remember with my first child that I had a bloody show 1-2 days before my waters ruptured, but I can't remember for sure. I am just wondering if it is possible to have your waters rupture without seeing a bloody show first.

  • Has anyone had a toddler with a consistent low grade fever?

I asked about this before but only one person responded with no experience. My 2 1/2 year old son's temperature is around 100 degrees every night. The range is between 99.5 and 100.8, but it only rarely dips below 100.1. In the morning his temp is generally normal, but it just goes up throughout the day. We have been to the doctor for many, many tests, but everything turns out normal. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what turned out to be the cause?

  • How long do you search for a cause of an elevated temperature in your child?

I have a 2 1/2 year old boy. He has been running a low grade temperature (99.5-100.5) every day for at least the last month when his doctor suggested I start tracking it. It is usually normal to 99.5 in the morning and every evening before bed, it is around 100. This happens after he has been sitting quietly OR after running around, so it does not coincide with his activity level. He has been to the doctor many times and we have run a CBC, thyroid test, taken a stool sample, and completed an abdominal ultrasound. He really has no other symptoms. Has anyone else experienced this? His doctor will now send us to an Infectious disease specialist who already said it is unlikely a cause will be found. How long do you keep looking for a cause before you give up and say his body temperature runs hot? What is the risk that you miss something important if you do that?
