integration involving e base, am i doing it correctly?
∫e^(0.08t) * e^(0.12(20 - t)) dt
I just simplified the right term to e^-12t + 2.4. Which I rewrote combing both e and getting:
∫e^(0.08t +2.4 - 0.12t) = ∫e^(-0.04t + 2.4) dt and too the intergral of that, am i right?

Let u = x - 2. Then du = dx because the derivative of x - 2 is 1 - 0 = 1 times dx.
Note that x = u + 2. Making these substitutions the integral is now

INT {(u+2)/u^(1/2)} du
INT {u^(1/2) + 2u^(-1/2)} du ------> (I don't understand where the (1/2) comes from?????)
(2/3)u^(3/2) + 4u^(1/2) + C
(2/3)(x - 2)^(3/2) + 4(x - 2)^(1/2) + C

In the equation du = 2 dx, I divided both sides by 2 and got du/2 = dx
∫ u^(1/2) * du/2 = 1/2∫ u^(1/2) * du = ∫ 2/3u^(3/2) * du = 1/3 ∫ (2x + 1) ^(3/2) + C

Many small business have to squeeze down costs any way they can just to survive. One way many businesses do this is by hiring workers as "independent contractors" rather than as regular employees. When workers are treated as independent contractors, they do not get a W-2 form at tax time (they get a 1099), they do not have any income taxes withheld, and they find themselves subject to "self-employment" taxes, by which they bear the brunt of both the employee and the employer's share of FICA taxes.
