Pus leaking out of toe?
About a year ago, I jammed my toe (ice skating). I've continued to ice skate over the past year, which probably jammed it more each time I skated. Eventually, my toe was puffy all around the nail and the skin had a purple-ish tint to it. The toenail also stopped growing a few months ago which I found pretty weird (I went to the Pediatrist and he said that I had jammed my toe, so I'm not just making up a diagnosis).
But then today, I realized that yellow pus was leaking out from under the toenail (or maybe by the toenail, since it's pretty swollen around the toenail). The red dot indicates roughly where it was leaking from:

I cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide, wiped the pus off, and put a band-aid and Polysporin on it (the pus continued to leak out after I cleaned it). I highly doubt it's an ingrown toenail since my toenail hasn't grown in forever.
What's wrong with my toe??
2 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoAnkle help??
So about two weeks ago (on the 3-19 I think), I noticed that my ankle felt like it had a bad bruise on it. I didn't think much of it and continued on to try out for the talent show (jump roping) the following day. After that, it swelled double and I noticed that it was slightly bruised in some areas. I also couldn't move it around too well. It continued to be very swollen for about two weeks.
Now it's swollen (but not huge like it was before, and only on one side), and I still can't walk on it normally or move my toes without pain shooting up to my knee. When I walk/limp on it, I feel like it wants to/should pop, but it never does. It hurts on the inside of my right ankle. Any ideas on what's wrong with it?
3 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoCause of Hives?
Last night around 11 P.M. I felt itchy on my arms. By 1:30 A.M., I noticed that there were hives of various sizes on both of my arms and the back of my right hand. When I woke up again at 9:30, they were gone. (They look like mosquito bites)
Then around 9 P.M. tonight, the same type of hives appeared on my elbows of all spots. This time some were bigger than before- one the size of a nickel. They itch like crazy, and I've taken Benydrel (or however you spell it) and put oatmeal on the hives. But what could possbily be causing it (I know I haven't eaten anything new)?
6 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade agoBroken toe?
So I ran into my door two nights ago. Within ten minutes my left pinky toe had a pinkish bruise on it. I've been putting ice on it since then and now it's purplish all over and so swollen that it's roughly twice as big as my other toe. It has a lump on the side of it, too. It doesn't really hurt unless I walk on it or touch it (but it does feel a bit numb). Is it broken or just bruised? And also...if it is broken what can I do for my tiny pinky toe?
2 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoGood beginning skateboards?
I just started skating yesterday when I bought a (piece of crap) board from a fair for $15. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out that I needed a new board.
So, what's a good beginning board for me? The cheaper the better, but I'm willing to pay what it's worth. If it makes any difference: I snowboard, am 13, and skate goofy. And I've never touched a skateboard before now, but so fair I've learned to kick turn, do as much carving as this board will allow, stop, and do a manuel on my back wheels if that matters.
Also, there's a BC Surf and Sport that I'm considering buying from. Has anyone else done this? What's their price range? Are their boards worth it?
