Dr. Cool
I'm a 24 year old male and my race is mixed. I could be best characterized as a thinker. For this reason, i love abstract concepts, poetry, bits of philosophy and psychology. I also like meditating and playing computer games. I find all sports fun but i hate to watch them. The only sport i will watch is mixed martial arts. I am talented at cold reading and good at strategizing. I am currently double majored in finance & management in college. I have a small poetry collection that I add to when i get inspiration. Religiously i am a steadfast, devoted but at times lazy Baha'i. I have ADD, dyslexia and short term memory problems. Through a lot of hard work, however; I have managed to work toward my intellectual potential through critical thinking, creativity and self discipline.
Which fantasy book should I read?
I am looking to read some fast paced fantasy. I have narrowed it down to The Blade Itself by Abercrombie, The Name of the Wind by Rothfuss, and Heroes Die by Stover. Which one of these should I read for a fast paced, interesting fantasy? Are there any other books you would recommend?
1 AnswerBooks & Authors8 years agoDebt or name, large or smaller law schools?
Okay, I can get in-state tuition to UGA and UNC. The tuition would be about 15k for both of them but they are only ranked 35 and 30 respectively. Assuming I'm accepted to a top 10 school (Yale Harvard etc) which option should. The top 10s have tremendous tuition, we are talking 45k per year at least. I have no money so i will need loans regardless.
So the real question is what should I choose; a name with a huge debt burden or no name with a much smaller debt burden?

3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)9 years agoWhat ranking of law schools should i shoot for?
Graduating from a small school with good accreditation. Triple majored in Finance, Economics and Management. I have unpaid summer work experience with a small law firm. By the time I apply for law school i should have publication, coauthored with two of my professors. I'll probably be graduating with a 3.5. Putting aside the LSAT for now, what law sort of schools can i expect to accept me.
3 AnswersLaw & Legal10 years agoHow compatible are INTJ men with ENTJ women?
I've read many theories and opinions which conflict but most of them seem to indicate compatibility. I figured i might as well ask you all as well.
1 AnswerSociology10 years agoWhat are the psychological advantages and disadvantages, for the child, of having a large family?
I play therapist for a lot of women and i read people in general. At some point i would like to have a family (wife and kids etc). I constantly read about various subjects in psychology but I have trouble finding any information about this on the internet. Please tell me your opinions as a parent or cite your sources.
1 AnswerPsychology10 years agoWho came up with America's Employee Stock Ownership Plan?
So my Retirement & Estate Planning professor was going over ESOP and i was thinking 'wow so all of this to avoid the capital gains tax?' So i asked him "who thought of this" and he couldn't tell me, he just said it "must have been someone very creative". So yeah i figured i would ask you all.
1 AnswerCorporations1 decade agoWhat does 42 3i iZ mean to you?
So just before i woke up i had a dream that i saw these characters appear glowing white in the dark above the TV on my dresser. They appeared two at a time, first 42 then 3i and last iZ. I could have sworn my dyslexia was acting up because i had trouble making out the iZ. then i heard something in a weird voice about "plasma venting" and my alarm went off.

2 AnswersDream Interpretation1 decade agoWill the Mass effect 2 DLC effect the story content of Mass effect 3?
So yeah its not likely I'll buy any game stuff for a while but eventually I'd like to get Mass Effect 3. I've almost finished my 3rd run-through on insanity with my vanguard and after that I won't have anything left to do. So i was wondering if the DLC story-lines will converge in Mass Effect 3 so i won't miss out on anything when i get it.
5 AnswersPC1 decade agoWhat science fiction or fantasy book should i read?
So i haven't read a book for pleasure in a long long time and i need a new one.
I want it to have a creative but broad magic system or scientific basis. I also want it to have a lot of action. I don't want it to be philosophically or politically preachy. If it does explore philosophical questions i want it to argue both sides or pose open ended questions. I love well developed peculiar characters. Lastly, I want the book to have variable, syntax, sentence length, diction and overall style to add to its effectiveness.
Suggest a few books, I'll message you if I've already read them.
Thanks! :)

7 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoWhat kind of job would you recommend for me?
I'll be graduating from college soon and i was wondering what job would fit me best while paying decently if i went looking right after I obtain my degrees. I'm double majoring in Finance and Management and my GPA is slightly above 3.5. I'm not great at math and my grades are only good because I am an extremely hard and self-motivated worker. I can do any intermediate statistics and maybe some simple calculus but i wouldn't exactly be able to work quickly. I also have trouble working with accounting functions. My writing skills are always a level or two beyond those of my peers. I am good with strategy and I am very creative. According to IQ tests I also have superior critical thinking skills. Aside from this, I'm very good at reading people. My resume has many honors and some activities but the one thing it lacks is working experience.
I would like you to suggest some jobs along with the work they entail and their pay-scales.
:) Thank you

2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoCan you answer some questions about the MBA/JD dual degree?
Currently i am double majoring in finance and management I'm almost graduated but im thinking of getting an MBA/JD degree. I have a good GPA, my critical thinking skills are superb, my writing is decent, far superior to my math skills. I am in beta gamma sigma and I participated in my schools college fed challenge project.
All things aside i find math beyond basic calculus and intermediate statistics very difficult.
So my question is while working on an MBA/JD dual degree what kind of math will i run into? When getting a dual MBA/JD does the MBA still have to be specialized? If so what kind of math does a management MBA have to study? Will my studies in accounting become any more complex than what i have already experienced?
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agocan you answer this money and banking question?
It is often claimed that tax-exempt municipal bonds are often held by wealthy individuals. Assuming you are in the 35% tax bracket and 8.25% state bracket, what is the equivalent taxable bond yield to a 4% NC State Education municipal bond?
Please show your work and state your reasoning.
1 AnswerInvesting1 decade agoCan out of shape people do parkour?
I have had an interest in parkour for a while now and when i have the time and the money I'd like to train in it. The only problem is that i am quite out of shape. used to hit the gym often. 2 years ago, i had a max out in bench of 295 lbs, a max in squats of 415 and a max in power-cleans of 225 lbs. Plus my technique for each of these was terrible and it was clear to my coaches i could do much better had my technique been at the same level of my power. The thing is that my cardio, even in those days was bad. I have always been fast but i would get tired easily. Now i haven't been working out for two years and i can tell that my muscles have shrunk but i can still do like 3 sets of 25 push ups maybe 45 in one sitting as well as just about countless crunches or sit ups. My friend who does Brazilian jujitsu still can't take me down and has trouble submitting me. Of course hes only been training a few months. Lol i tell you all of this so you can see what I'm working with. I'm 5'9 205 pounds, i carry some extra weight but i also have heavy bones and a lot of muscle.
So my question is this: Is my out of shape physique sufficient to train in parkour? Honestly, in general i have been wondering if parkour is safe for those who are out of shape.

3 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade agowhat can i do with degrees in management, finance and law?
Hi im a 21 year old junior in university and im currently double majoring in financial services and management. I've been doing some research and im thinking of getting a degree in corporate law after i graduate. I'm not great at math but my GPA is good so far. This is my main reason for thinking of the law rout.
My greatest strengths are my critical, creative and strategic thinking skills. Im very good in arguments and i am good at reading people. Aside from that, i write fairly well. My weaknesses are that im not good at math, i have a very bad memory and my mind works in a generally slow fashion. In short i have trouble learning new things but i can do amazing things with what i know.
Lol now on to the question. What are some opportunities/jobs i can look forward to with the degrees above, taking into consideration my strengths and weaknesses?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoNew Facebook again? why?
A few weeks ago I got an application called “superwall” and it changed my facebook page into a “newfacebook” page. I did not like this new setup so I asked around and found a way to change it back and I did so. This would not necessarily be a problem, however, just a few hours ago my facebook page reverted back into its “newfacebook” form. This was, of course, not my intension as I did nothing to prompt it. In addition, it appears as though I am unable to change my page back into an old facebook page as the button that would normally change it back has disappeared. Is there any way to change my page back to the old facebook setup or am I simply stuck with this faulty format.
