What if the South had been expelled from the Union in the 1860s?
What if the Southern states, instead of seceding from the Union, were expelled by the Northern states instead? The insolence of the Southern states in politics before the secession crisis had really gotten under Northern politicians' collective skin. What if they just had enough, and decided to kick the Southern states, with the cooperation of most of the federal government, out of the Union. I know that this would've been VERY HIGHLY unlikely, it's just interesting to think about. Your thoughts?

4 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoOne bicep won't keep up with the other?
My left bicep and tricep seem to be developing noticeably slower than my right arm. I've been working out a lot, I used to pitch for a while (lefty), and I do jack off a lot (lefty). What's the deal? It looks kinda strange....

I don't want one that is focused mainly on politics.
It needs to be complete with lots of info, and have good maps to illustrate the action.

2 AnswersHistory1 decade agoWhat are these Olympic judges smoking?
Do they have paint chips lodged in their nasal passages? How can they keep ripping us off in these games...and I'm not just referring to this gymnastics embarrassment. Boxing, Diving, hell even the strike zone seems tighter for our baseball pitchers. Maybe its just red white and blue bias, but it seems to me like this international panel of "partial" judges don't like us too much.
And while I'm on the subject, do you think they took softball away because the USA is just too good? Are we being punished for dominance. If so, why don't they take away diving or table tennis from the Chinese? How is table tennis even a sport?

The really steep, green, mist shrouded ones. Sometimes you see them next to water...
If there are more than one province that has them, then give me the best one.
5 AnswersChina1 decade agoAnother diabolical Gettysburg question
On Little Round Top, Gen. Vincent's brigade held off multiple attacks by two different brigades of Confederates. The 20th Maine held the left flank, followed by the 83rd PA, 44th NY, and the 16th MI on the right flank.
The 20th ME fought on the wooded slope, the 16th MI fought on the rocky, open slope.
My question is: Did the 44th NY and the 83rd PA fight out on the open slope of the hill or the wooded part?

He had a fourth brigade under his command, but it was left behind when the campaign started.
Who commanded that brigade?

What units led the Federal probing action south around the Emmitsburg Road on July 4th? Who commanded the brigades?
Hint: It was a brigade of Regulars and a brigade from the 6th Corps with a Pennsylvania regiment in it.
Anyone who knows this is amazing...
