2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance7 years agoWhich is the best solar panel set up?
I have doing a little research on costs etc of solar PV and they seem to vary to a large degree.
I understand that you don't get much choice of the make etc with free solar panel deals but wondered what you guys would install on your own home.
We are looking at funding it ourselves, though still trying to work out the best way to do it.
I am trying to really find a good solar system and the makes and models then i will be able to compare prices/services a bit more easier. Is there a big difference in quality of the solar stuff or is all pretty much the same? Is there any i should avoid?

5 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation8 years agoCan I connect the new oven?
I've just purchased a new electric oven and electric ceramic hob and I am in the process of fitting it.
I originally had a gas hob and an electric oven.
My question is this: Can I connect the new oven, which has a max power output of 2.77Kw, into the socket which provided the ignition for the gas hob? It has a 13amp fuse and I think it's 1.5mm cable. Also can I connect the hob to the old oven socket? The hob has a max output of 5510Kw and it looks llike the socket is 4mm cable.
Any replies would be greatly appreciated!"

3 AnswersCooking & Recipes8 years agoWill you prefer to Toilet Paper or Wet Wipes?
ok, many people use regular toilet tissue but some also like the damp formulated wipes as it gets more residue and clean you better. There are certainly advantages but some people may feel embarrassed to sued to formulated wipes.
In any case, its a dating issue because the quality and type of tissue sued will determine how clean your bum is and when sleeping next to someone, it must be fully cleaned and top hygiene or they may be turned off. people use different amount of toilet tissue but the sticky dry and general just miss too much and if your are hairy and unshaven this is especially true and in the summer time, its a very messy wipe.

1 AnswerOther - Family & Relationships8 years agoCompostable or pharma biodegradable packaging?
Hi all,
Just a speculative note to ask whether anyone has any experience of using compostable or films as biodegradable packaging from http://www.biodegradabletableware.com.cn/ProductsT... in the pharma sector.
I'm particularly interested in blister packing and whether any suppliers have come up with a cost effective replacement for the PVC/ Aluminium foil blister pack.

2 AnswersComputer Networking9 years agoFacial cleansing wipes recipe?
I need to make up a new batch of liquid to use for facial cleansing wipes as http://www.hknbc.com/Products/Facial-Cleansing-Wip... Is anyone else doing this?
I remember starting a thread before, but the couple people who responded seemed to think using small amounts of castille soap or alcohol was risky? I don't agree. Store bought wipes often don't detail what's in them (what is in them?), nevermind what they add to prevent bacterial growth, and I don't want all THAT crap on my face.
Its easy enough to make wet wipes, but I prefer not to worry about contamination & just put a solution in a pretty squirt bottle, and wet small cloths that get laundered every couple weeks. I found a box of beautifully soft, cross-hatched cotton cloths that came in a box (dry, like kleenex), which don't break down. Perrrrfect!
Anyway, my original recipe just involved a tsp of aloe & castille soap in a cup of distilled water with some essential oils or flower waters. I know others add things like witch hazel, glycerine, & alcohol (probably for baby wet wipes made with paper towels) to theirs.
Can someone help with some more ideas and maybe help me with appropriate amounts?
1 AnswerMakeup9 years agoHalloween-themed tablewares wanted?
Hi guys
Does anyone have for sale or know where I could buy Halloween-themed bowls, plates, glasses, mugs etc in stead of buy from online site named paper tableware as http://www.biodegradabletableware.com.cn/ ? I've checked eBay and Google shopping but most of the stuff available in the UK is the cheap nasty plastic kind, or paper disposable plates, which aren't what I want.
What I'm looking for is really nice-looking, high-quality, dishwasher and microwave-proof Halloweeny tableware. I can pay via Paypal if anyone has something pretty to sell, and would really appreciate being pointed in the direction of a few good online stores.
US-based trick or treaters, I know you guys ALWAYS have loads of awesome Halloweeny stuff available, but it costs a small fortune to get anything shipped here, so I'm focusing on the UK until I am absolutely certain that I need to look further afield.
Thanks in advance!

2 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling9 years agoElectricity supply need do upgrade?
Hey guys, I do upgrade to 220 kw in order to be able to run the air-conditioning we're having fitted in a couple of weeks. Also i think with the current 110 system we will be limited in what we can run at the same time. our solicitor who gave Endesa our details to transfer bills over to us said she would request the upgrade. I don't think we've heard from Endesa yet. the people fitting the airconditioning say their electrician can do the upgrade at the same time. But having read up about it will it be ok for us to go ahead withe the upgrade before Endesa have come out to view. Have read that the electrician must be Spanish for the bolletin he provides to be acceptable to the electricity companies. Please can someone tell me the correct procedure. It's all quite difficult as OH is going over for short bursts at the moment and trying to get things done as one of us has to stay here to look after the kids so we're having to try and get things done in a short time scale.
2 AnswersOther - Hardware9 years agoTest Biodegradable Packaging Material, any clue?
In the last several years, biodegradable packaging has increased in the market. Biodegradable packaging as does not consist of petroleum-based plastics and normally consists of a modified starch. If you are packaging products or have a “green” store, it is imperative that you test the material to determine if it is biodegradable. Yet the question is how to test?
3 AnswersOther - Environment9 years agoPaint With a Dental Air Compressor, are there any instructions?
Air compressors are designed to operate many different tools. The value of a commercial air compressor is many times greater than the purchase price because of the amount of work a single air compressor can perform. Dental air compressors are some of the most reliable because of the high-quality air they supply and precision tools they operate. As a result, dental air compressors can be adapted for a number of different tasks, including artistic air brush painting. That is why I need to know are there any instructions for paint with a dental air compressor?
2 AnswersDental9 years agoTrickle Charge a Car Battery?I need your voice.?
The lead-acid batteries found in cars and other motor vehicles provide a high current when called upon and are recharged by the car's alternator during operation. When not in use, car batteries slowly lose their charge. Most of the loss is from self-discharge inherent in the battery's chemistry, which may be as much as 2 percent of the battery's capacity daily. A trickle charger keeps the charge topped up by delivering a small, constant current during storage or periods of disuse.Once it all ran out,we need to do some trickle charge, how to come true?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoUtilize propane gas cookers,I need help with it.?
One of the joys of camping is making your own food out in the wild. Of course, it be tough to get a good bonfire started, and cooking something substantial over the bonfire can be a bit difficult. However, if you own a propane gas cookers, you have easy access to instant fire as well as a portable stove and large pot. Not surprisingly, many campers turn to this solution for outdoor cooking. While each propane gas cooker is slightly different to set up, the concept remains the same. Also, remember that propane is highly combustible, so keep it away from open flames and hot storage spaces. Make sure you only use your propane gas cooker outdoors on a flat surface so that it stays stable while you're cooking. And are there any warnings to follow as well?
