Implantation bleeding or weird period?
My husband and I have been TTC for about six months; I have a regular 31-32 day cycle. I was very hopeful that this was going to be my month, but on day 33 I started bleeding but very lightly. I usually have a VERY heavy period for the second through 4th days of my flow, but this time, I bled steadily for about 16 hours (bright red at first and then like dark brown flakes of dried blood...I told you it was weird) and then completely stopped bleeding, not even a little spotting or anything. It's been about two days since I saw a "brown dried blood flake." My breasts are still extremely sensitive/sore which usually goes away once my period begins, and I'm still feeling a little crampy and bloated. Also, I just started charting my bbt, so I don't know if I normally have a high reading, but since I started charting three days ago (when I thought I was starting another cycle), I've been getting a reading of 98.5 which according to "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" is high.
Nothing like this has ever happened to me, so I'm looking for answers from others who might have experienced this or something similar; please let me know what your outcome was, too...pregnant or not? From what I have read, this does not sound like implantation bleeding, but I know this bleeding pattern is very weird for me. Does it sound like it could have been implantation bleeding or just my cycle deciding to be weird this month? I don't want to get my hopes up, especially since I'm so tired of being disappointed each month!
I really appreciate any honest answers! I'm keeping all of us mommy-want-a-be's in my prayers!
3 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoPositive OPK = definitely released egg?
My husband and I have been TTC for three months...my cycle just started Saturday:( I had a positive ovulation test (the first one during the three months), and I am trying to find out if the positive result means that I definitely released an egg last month? Is it possible to be "ovulating" but not release an egg?
We're so disappointed, especially since we finally saw that smiley face on the OPK! I'm keeping all of us in my thoughts and prayers!
3 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoDo animals detect pregnancy earlier than we can?
This question may belong in the "pets" section, but I wanted to find out if anyone who has dogs noticed them acting weird when you became pregnant. My husband and I have been trying for several months now, and I'm not due to take a HPT for another few days.
My two female beagles have been acting very strange lately. Since beagles are scent hounds, I was wondering if they may be able to pick up a pregnancy vibe before a pregnancy test says I'm positive? I have had my dogs for many years, and I've never seen them act like this: snapping at me, peeing all over the place (even on me), keeping me from getting too close to my husband on the couch. It's almost as if they're marking their territory or something. I appreciate any thoughts!
6 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoOvulation Predictor Kits...Which one is best?
I have been using the Answer Ovulation Predictor Kits for about two months, but I have never seen the second (positive) line show up, even when testing everyday for two months! I read on a very old post that someone else had a similar experience with the Answer kits, so I am curious about which one to buy. If anyone has had a similar issue and found a better option please let me know!
Since my husband and I are trying for our first baby, I'm very anxious that there is something wrong, such as I am not ovulating or something else weird. I was on bcp's for almost ten years and have been off of them for about four months now, but my doctor will not help me until we have been trying for at least a year since I am only in my mid-twenties. Any thoughts on if I should be worried yet or just let nature take its course for the next eight months?
Thanks for your help!
