Twice during the same period that I was due for a raise, and the minimum wage was increased at that time, I was given a raise equal to the amount of the minimum wage increase. Is this just one way that companies get around giving an employee an earned raise when it's due? Both times the amount of the raise was equal to the amount of the cost of living increase. I was told my raise was based on performance, not the cost of living increase. Really??? I wonder about this!

I don't get out much to travel, so I'd love to hear of your adventures!

I live in Arizona, and it's beautiful here, but I'm wanting to venture elsewhere in the future (thinking of Canada or Australia). I imagine, if and when I choose to relocate, that will be all of the traveling I'll do, so I want to make the right choice.

I'm a native, and I used to love it here, but not so much anymore. It seems the people just keep getting sh!ttyrrr all the time. Is it just me?

I'm starting to look into healthier eating, and I'm hearing some good results from people who have been on the raw food diet (not really a diet plan, just a better way of eating). Any info you can offer, like if you're doing it, what it's done for you, etc., would be helpful. THX!!!

When I have trouble sleeping, I find myself here a lot, and sometimes while I'm answering questions, I start nodding off. That's when I know it's time for me to call it a day... like, right now!

Please add in where you live and explain some of the qualities of that area, as opposed to others. I'd love to visit, with the prospect of moving there someday, and would appreciate anything you can tell me about it. THX!!!

If someone finds themselves struggling with issues that they blame on other people or situations in their life, who do you think is responsible for "fixing" it... the people you blame, yourself, someone else??? I just want some opinions here because it seems like a big question among a lot of people these days. It could apply to any number of issues, I'm not trying to be specific. I just see a lot of people being really confused about which way to turn with the problems they're experiencing, and it seems that most of them either want to blame someone else, or themselves, but don't know what to do to find peace with it.

I am considering a few different areas of interest, and am undecided which may offer a better future. I'm thinking about getting a degree in behavioral health, or possibly marketing. I'm very interested in solar energy, and am thinking of redirecting into that area to start a new career, but I'm not familiar with it enough to know if it would be a worthy endeavor. I live in Arizona, and it's looking like we will be having a lot going on here for employment in that area. Being an environmentally conscientious person, I find myself gaining interest in various areas of environmental fields. I'm just trying to figure out what would be the best choice, or how to work them in together so that I have more than one option for career development. Any ideas would be welcome!

Any ideas to help me do something special for my son for his initiation into fatherhood would be greatly appreciated! Any gift ideas for "father's day" would be appreciated, too. I want this one to be extra special for the "new dad"! Thanks!

My boyfriend is super possessive, obsessive, jealous, and insecure. But, he acts like he's got it together and has no problem. I find myself constantly having to work around his "issues"... like, we should do everything together, and nothing apart, and never be without each other in any situation. Also, he keeps pounding it into my head that he "loves me", to the point of driving me insane... like he says it over and over and expects me to keep saying it back. It drives me nuts! Should I stay or go??? He's soooo freaking needy and obsessive, I don't know how to handle it anymore! We've tried to talk it all out, but it always comes back to the same ol' BS. If I leave, I'll probably be leaving the only person who's ever loved me as much as anyone could. I'm scared that I won't find that again... but, I can't keep dealing with all this over-demanding crap that goes with this relationship... it's too hard.

Even though I have plenty of free disc space, I am getting an "out of memory at line..." message, preventing me from accessing or continuing what I'm doing. Any idea how to fix this? THX!!!

Have you ever been so close to someone that you and that person experienced the feeling of leaving your bodies and becoming one in spirit? Does anyone know if this is some sort of phenomenon? If you know something about this, please share it!

I'm talking about a dream so intense, that left you with such a strong feeling, that you knew it was more than just a dream? Like I had a dream about the end of the world, and I died in that dream, but not really, I just turned into a form of energy as soon as I died. Anyway... I awoke feeling like I'd had a real experience of some sort and it always stuck with me. I just know it carried some deeper meaning than just an average dream... and I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Say a girl had to meet certain criteria that you think is important as far as compatibility goes... ok, even the superficial stuff, like beauty, that has nothing to do with compatibility... what would those things be (in order of importance, if it applies)??? Just curious how you all think when it comes to this stuff.
