  • I took my 5 month old for Christmas pictures today and....?

The photographer acted shocked that he wasn't able to sit up without a little support behind his back and that he isn't crawling yet...Is my baby behind in development or is this photographer tripping?

  • Do you think the environment you create for your baby affects it's nature?

I worked really hard to keep myself and the environment around me calm and serene during pregnancy. I got regular massages, I practiced meditation and yoga daily. I avoided my more high strung friends and wouldn't let anyone touch my belly sending their energy to the baby unless they were extremely calm people.

Now, I have a wonderfully calm tempered infant. Everyone keeps telling me how lucky I am because he is so happy and calm all the time. When my husband and I say that we created a "ZEN" (LOL) baby by all the things I did...people just look at us like we are off our rocker.

    So, What do you think?

  • Will the feeling ever come back post-C section?

I had a C-Section about 3 months ago. The area of my abdomen above the incision line is numb. If you really push I can feel it on the inside but if I just lightly rib my fingers over it or if I try to scratch...I don't feel it. It's like 2-3 inches! Is this normal? Will the feeling ever come back? Is there anything I can do to help it?

  • What exactly is gripe water and where do you get it?

I have a 10 week old that has had constipation problems. After trying several different things he is on Soy formula now and is pooping daily. Only he still seems to be experiencing discomfort. It seems to be his tummy hurting. I have read a lot of people suggesting "gripe water" but my doc has never mentioned it and I have never heard of it...except on this forum.
