  • How can a mechanical engineering student join the National Guard as officer?

    I am a college student(Mechanical Engineering) in Puerto Rico and would like to join the National Guard as officer. My GPA is 2.82 and I'm in very good physical condition since I'm in the track and field varsity team. I've read you can be officer with 90 credits, but right now I have 72. I have also read about OCS(the long 1year and a half program) and AOCS and I'm not really sure which would be better for me.

    I have an Uncle who is like E-6 or E7 so soon in winter break I will contact him and get better informed so i WILL contact a recruiter soon(this month).

    But the quesion is: how is the process of becoming an officer and how is the life as an officer?

    What do an officers do in a daily basis?
