I don't want to ask. I know, these questions are annoying, but am I weird?
I'm 15, and I just don't feel like I belong with my generation.
First of all, my brother and step-sister have done some really bad things, and I feel that I've learned from their mistakes, and I just feel so much more mature than them, even though they're both 19, 20 in September/October. I've told my parents that I won't make their mistakes but they tell me that making mistakes is a part of growing up. I'm sure I'll make my own...
Another thing is that I actually want to settle down and start a family at a young age. Not in the near future, of course! But I've always been good with kids, and my older cousins all tell me that I'm very maternal. I want to have a family of my own relatively young (Mid-20's a few years earlier than most people end up having kids.) not sure if that's common.
Also, I HATE spelling and grammar errors on the internet. Honestly, I hate our generation for 'lolspeak' I understand mistakes, but if you do it on purpose, it's really hard to read. And I LOVE reading and writing, but I don't really get the best grades in school other than in English class. Again, it's kind of uncommon. There are a lot of my friends who agree with me, but others, not so much.
Finally, I already know what I want to do with my life. I do have kind of an unrealistic dream, but I do have a career path planned out. I want to be a secondary school English teacher, then with a few years of standard ELA teaching under my belt, teach a Creative Writing class. I have a pipe dream of becoming a published novelist one day, and as unrealistic as it is, I really want to try.
My generation (at least around where I live) sucks at aspiring to be something; all everyone does is just say that "Oh, maybe I'll be a singer." or plan on mooching their entire life. I don't think that I'm a normal teenager for having a career path set up for myself, and wanting a family, and all the things I mentioned.
What do you guys think?
12 AnswersAdolescent1 decade agoWhat do you think of this name for a boy?
I'm not pregnant, and don't plan to be for a long time. But I've always come up with names when I was bored. Now, I absolutely love a name I came up with, and when I do have a son I want it to be an option, but I'm not sure if it's a unisex name or just a girls name.
So is Kendall just a girls name, or does it work for a boy?
And also, what is a good middle name to go with it?
