I don't even begin to understand how you "simplify" something like this. Please explain this to me, as I am getting ready to do my GED

4. Simplify: 8x + 19x - 6y - (-y)

A: 27x -5y

B: 27x - 7y

C: 11x -5y

D: 11x + 7y

5. Simplify: -3(x + 2x2 + 3x)

A: 12x - 6x2

B: -3x + 2x2 - 6x

C: -18x2

D: -12x - 6x2

I'm about to go take my math portion of GED, am EXTREMELY bad at math, so am taking online practice tests. On a few questions down, it asks to simplify.....I don't even begin to understand how to do this.

So yesterday I asked a similar question on how to do these, people explained numbers one and two to me. Can someone simply explain how to do the fraction part? Before I go any further, I think people yesterday thought I was a student trying to score homework help :-) I'm actually a grown adult getting ready to take the math portion of the GED. I take a 10mg Ambien to sleep at night at oh....about 8pm? I have had a severe head cold and completely lost my voice. I called the Pharmacist the other night to ask if I could take OTC Alkeseltzer Plus night for my cold even though I take Ambien. She said no because the two together would make me too drowsy. But I am wondering if I could take it when I wake up at like 2 am coughing my lungs up? Would that be enough time? 6 hours?

I am a big time hypochondriac, and I know it is funny to people when they aren't one. But as a person who is one, it is not funny at all. Anyways, I take Ambien 10mg to sleep at night. I take one but sometimes 1 1/2. I was just wondering if you think the stars like Whitney Houston are taking many more drugs than this type when they're dying. Because I just read somewhere that people don't even have to have underlying conditions to just die from RX meds. I filed for SS back in March for my ASD son. Besides my husband's main job, we have held a couple of others. The only thing holding us back now from my son's monthly check is proof of employment and income for all of our other jobs. It has been a nightmare trying to get the employers to get us a work history print up since we don't have each pay stub. Do you know if we can use our W2's for our proof? This would be a huge break if we can and I sure don't see why not? My caseworker says to give her a couple days to return calls, but she does NOT call back.

I got a 2 year old Ball Python (2 1/2 ft) a week ago. He is my first snake and as funny as it sounds, he is my pride and joy. Best animal I've ever owned. Here's the problem.....he refuses to eat. When I got him from the man and asked if it was time to feed him, he just said "Ehh, he can eat now". "Apparently" he eats frozen/thawed. I bought a two pack and tried one last week and one yesterday and he wants nothing to do with it. He just goes the other way whenever dangled in front of him. He is very healthy otherwise but I am scared to death that he will die from not eating :-( I do NOT want to resort to live, as I have read and heard it is not the best way to go. Will he be alright?
