Sorry I know this is gross but I'm just curious. Had my first baby 11 weeks ago and I'm still having pretty heavy yellowish discharge. I've been using about 4-5 panty liners a day... I HAVE had my first period and almost due for my second... but this discharge hasn't went away. I had my postpartum checkups and pap and everything was fine- the doc said it would "clear up" but still hasn't. Anyone else had this issue and how long did it take to go away. sorry again for the grossness.

hi all- I have a dilema. My baby is 7 weeks old today... and this is my 4th day back to work. The whole time I was off on maternity I was with my baby 24/7. My cousin is getting married Saturday out of state and I was planning to take Allie with me. My fiance is on call all weekend so he can't go... he wants the baby to stay home with him. He said Allie wouldn't be comfortable in the car for the 6 hour trip which I can understand. We would leave early in the morning, stay the night out of town and head home early the next morning. I've been so excited to go to this wedding but will miss my baby terribly. I'm having so many mixed feelings about this... I want to stay home with her but really want to go. Is it possible Allie will be mad at me for going since I've been working all week and having to be away from her? I feel like either way if I take her with me or leave her home I will be a bad mom for going. What do you guys think?

ok so I'm 32 weeks and know I still have a while to go... but I'm kinda wondering about labor. I hear about so many people who go to the hospital with false labor symptoms... is there really a way to tell if its for real labor or just false labor? I know this is silly I just don't want to go to the hospital until I really have to.

So... I'm 31 wks pregnant w/ my first baby. At my last doctors appt last week the doc told me to start thinking of which birth control I want to use after having the baby. I've had bad experiences in the past: I was on the depo shot for about 3 years then started bleeding for weeks at a time... plus it's not good to use it for long since it can damage your bones. Then I was on yasmin for about a year and started having the uncontrolable bleeding again from that (I'd bleed for about 3 weeks straight then stop for a few days then start bleeding again). I'm really hesisatant to start taking any kind of pills or shots let alone getting an IUD... anyone else have a situation like this and what did you do?

also- any comments on how you like the travel system would also be appreciated! (I'm getting the "oh" style- green, gray and white).

so... I spilled a bowl of yellow paint all over my grey/blue carpet. do products like "oops" actually work to remove paint from carpet? I figure it would be cheaper than re-carpeting the room. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

1. did you find it necessary to have a swing, a walker and a bouncey seat? I'm curretnly only registered for a swing but everyone keeps asking why I'm not registered for a walker or bouncer.

2. we registered for a stroller/carseat travel system and a convertable carseat... do you think we need both?

3. Did you register for sippie cups, spoons, forks, bowls (stuff like that) and a potty seat even though they won't be used right away?

I was given a ton of baby clothes from my sister in law but is it wrong to register for new outfits too even though we don't really NEED them? I just don't want all her clothes to be hand-me-downs.

Hi! So on 12/17 my fiance and I are scheduled for an ultrasound to determine the sex of our first baby. We're buying a house soon so we are trying to save money. Holidays are always expensive for us since we both have such huge families. So, first- do you think it would be tacky to let the family's know whether we're having a boy or girl buy buying them a small gift or making them something? Second- any ideas what the gift could be? Something creative would be great! The only idea I could thing of is buying a bunch of those bubble gum cigars in blue or pink and wrapping them in a gift box and presenting it to the family? Any thought? Would this be tacky? We're really just trying to save some money but at the same time think it would be a pretty cool gift.

my mother and other friends/family members/co-workers, think they have a say in what I name my child. My mom keeps saying she hates the name I picked out if I have a boy (Vincent). She keeps saying I better hope I have a girl. She also keeps emailing me names and if I tell her one I'm thinking about she says "no definately not." Why is it that people think they have a say in something like that? Is it just me or does this get on other people's nerves?

Just curious... like if someone says they start showing at 14 weeks will their baby be larger than if someone started showing at say... 24 weeks?

my fiance and I are having a hard time agreeing on names. so far we have a few we DO agree on and I'm just wondering what ya think?

OK, so I'll probably get a lot of crap for getting myelf in this "situation" as my dad called it but here's my story... as short as I can make it:

Me and my guy have been together ~8 years, been engaged almost 3 years (will be 3 in February), and we were thinking about getting married the fall of 2009 though we never set a date. About a month ago, we found out that I'm pregnant and due in May. My father and step mom are very "conservative" and didn't even want to tell my younger sisters that I'm pregnant because we're not married. My mom and my fiance's parents are ok with everything though since we've been together so long and have an extremely stable relationship (btw, we've lived together ~3-4 years). After giving this a lot of thought, we've decided to get married before the baby comes (we'd like the same parental names on the birth certificate and just legalities like that). We never planned on having a wedding- we just want to go to the courthouse then have a party afterwards to celebrate. I guess I have a few questions: do we ask our parents to come to the court with us to witness it since we're not having the ceremony? Is it ok to get married now and have the party in the summer? Do you think we should get married now and tell everyone or just wait? You don't have to answer all my questions I would just like a few different perspectives from people who have been in this "predicament." Thanks for serious answers.

first of all I just wanted to thank all of you for your answers... you may be getting to know me pretty well by now LOL

anyway- I'm 8 wks, 2 days now and this past satuday and sunday I had horrible vommitting and diarrhea. yesterday I did ok in bed all day but last night and today I've had this horrible cramping on my left side. it feels kinda like gas but I'm not sure. I haven't really eaten anything since Saturday afternoon and have been drinking fluids as directed by my doc, but she told me to do the BRAT diet. I'm kinda confused since BRAT is supposed to stop the diarrhea, well it kinda feels like I'm constipated now. any suggestions?

So, I've had "morning sickness" all day every day since last Sunday (9/21). My doctor prescribed Zofran but it's not helping at all. I haven't been able to keep anything down except crackers and pretzels... and water. I feel horrible like I'm not feeding my baby... but I literally can't keep anything down. I've tried everything- mints, lemon, zofran, crackers, ginger ale... Pepsi is kind of relieving the nausea but only for a short time and I'm only drinking a little bit of it since I heard I'm supposed to avoid caffeine. My question is: How harmful is this to my baby and do you have any other suggestions of what I can try? Any advice would be appreciated!

OK so this might sound like a lot I'm just really anxious. Me and my fiance of 2 1/2 years have been ttc. Well... I took 3 tests this morning and they all came back positive! I tried to call my doctor but her office is closed until Monday. Is it possible to have 3 positive tests? I would just feel better having it confirmed by my doc but won't be able to get in for a few days. Just wondering some basic things like tips and pointers of what I should start doing now. I have no ideda how far along I am... we've been trying for about 4 months and the previous months all came back negative but I know it's still possible to get a negative test and have a period really early on.

I'm just freaking out a little. I never really imagined how I'd feel seeing the positive result... kinda nervous now... like I don't wanna screw anything up. Is this normal or am I over reacting? LOL plz ease my mind a little.

OK. so right now my hair is a light blond (yellowish). It's naturally a dark blond/light brown. I'm thinking of going dark... brownish red with some highlites/lowlites. I'm worried that once I dye it it will start to fade and look brassy (it's happened before). Any advice on brands or dye or certain shades? I've got a few pix on my 360 page so you can kinda see my skin tone... think I'm fair with pinkish tones. I'm also wondering how exactly toner works? Someone told me I should use a toner each time I dye my hair so it blends to match my skin tone? any advice or hair pix would be appreciated! :-)

OK so I'm wondering if the "skins" for the blackberry pearl do a good job protecting it. I've been using the pouch that came with it but want to buy some different colored skins for it... I usually keep my phone in my purse so I'm worried that with the skin only covering the sides and back it might mess up the buttons or ball.

1. does it protect the phone good?

2. Is there a way to lock the buttons? (I think on my old phone it was *3?)

I've been thinking about cutting my hair kinda like Maxie's... I don't want the right side longer than the left tho... just short layers in the back, the bangs and the long pieces on the side. Could you plz check out my pic on my 360 thing and tell me if you think it would look ok on me? I'd really appreciate it! also, if you know where I can find a good picture of her hair that would be great too... the one I have was printed from a video clip so it's not the best angle to show the stylist. I googled her and could only find old hairstyles.

OK so I got this new phone the other day. My friend sent me a message (supposed to be audio message) but when I open it, it says I have a picture message. I entered the web address listed into my desktop and it took me to the "my album" and it had the audio message. I could listen to it from my computer but on my phone when I try to open it- it tells me to send a picture to 222 to acticate. I did that and got a welcome response but when I open that it tells me to send a pic to 222? so confusing. Also, I really would like to save the audio message as a ring tone... any way to do that?
