1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoWhen do most students finish and send in their college applications?
I understand the deadline dates for college applications vary, but when do most students finish their applications? Should I have expected to finish mine last month, or do I not need to worry about rushing quite yet?

Do you find them too secluded from non-school society? Is it difficult to find time to make regular trips to a decent sized town?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)5 years agoIs it harmful to consume dairy products?
There are now official studies showing that dairy is more harmful than helpful in the human diet.
I have been a vegan for about 1 year (I despised the animal industry, but at this point it is deteriorating my health to a point where I cannot function), and I have noticed a decline in my energy levels, my acne has gradually increased, and I have been more irritable (ps. I do not eat many processed foods on my vegan diet)
So ultimately, my question is: would it be harmful to switch to a vegetarian for my ultimate health, or is dairy more harmful than good. (I would also consider an omnivorous diet that lacks dairy)
26 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan5 years agoWhat are large universities like?
The only college I have visited has 2,700 students, and I absolutely adore their sense of community. I understand that large universities (15,000+) will not be the same, but is there still a sense of small groups/communities? What do you think?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)5 years agoWhat US cities assume middle-of-the-road personalities between the east and west coast?
I love both the east and the west coast. They are both absolutely beautiful, and the culture is breathtaking. I am too relaxed for the east coast hustle and bustle, but I am definitely no hippie. I have never had too much interest in the Great Plains, as it is more flat land rather than mountains and forests. Do you guys have any recommendations? I am open to any suggestions, both in the east and west coast! Thank you so much!

1 AnswerSeattle5 years agoDo you think I would prefer the east or west coast of the United States?
I have definitely had problems in this area, as the west coast is currently growing in population (which is not my greatest suit), but I absolutely adore the natural feel. I also love the Northeast (NH and VT) with their more "west coast" feel and less people.
My main goals in a perfect place to start a family would be:
1. A good place to start a small business
2. Sunny weather (and preferably four seasons)
3. A quaint, but bustling city
4. Still giving you access to the outdoors
5. Local produce and plenty of it!!!
I apologize for the quite contradicting standards, but if possible, could I get any possible recommendations for east/west coast OR us state?
2 AnswersOther - United States5 years agoWould it be more cost efficient to go to an out-of-state public university or a private university?
I am aware that out-of-state public universities cost more than in-state, and private universities cost a lot no matter where you live. I am also aware that private colleges give more financial aid that public universities. After all expenses, which is more cost efficient?

5 AnswersHistory5 years agoShould protecting the environment be a priority in the US?
I have been vegan since I was 10 years old, always having a strong sense of commitment toward liberating animals. Lately I feel almost hypocritical for not protecting the environment that animals live in, and promoting the growth of large industry. Is this a rational thought?
