  • Can I turn my laptop on without getting it cleaned, having recently spilt tea on it?

I spilt a significant quantity of tea in my laptop yesterday. It shut itself down quickly. I unplugged it and turned it upside down, removing most of the tea, then I dried it with a hair dryer (Google now tells me this is a bad idea, but I did not know this at the time) until it was completely dry outside and from what I could see of inside, then left it upside down overnight. This morning, I moved it and caught the switch and it turned on normally. I switched it off. Is it safe to use it despite the inevitable stains inside, or should I take it to a repair shop for cleaning first?

    Thanks.

  • What is this strange visual problem?

    Hi,

I'm 14 years old and short-sighted. A few minutes ago, while wearing my contacts, I turned on my laptop and noticed that I was having difficulty focusing on words. I looked at printed text and cannot read that very well either. It looked like various letters disappear or blur and looking at words gave an odd sensation of struggling-to-focus that I can't describe very well. I can see well enough to read and write, but it is irritating. It seems to be getting a little better now. Last night I was using a computer and later reading a lot, but not significantly more than I usually do, and I haven't read or used my computer since I got up until now. I read a lot and have never noticed anything like this before - any ideas what on Earth it could be?

    Thanks.
