I found a little Question thing about how to find the right laptop. I'll answer these questions for you, and I'll leave it to you to tell me what I need :P

1. What is your budget?

$500-$700

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

Maybe 15 inches. Don't care.

3. What screen resolution do you want?

Doesn't matter, but nothing too small.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Portable, but I will use it at home a lot.

5. How much battery life do you need?

5 or 6 hours maybe.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Medium quality would be great, low is acceptable sometimes I guess.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

Video editing (for youtube), browsing the internet and watching HD videos at fast speeds.

8. How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

At least 500 GB, I'm dealing with a 60 GB right now. My parents say I need 1 TB though, I don't know why. Anyways, at least 500 GB would be perfectly fine.

I prefer to buy from Asus, Lenovo, Samsung. Definitely not from Dell.

I have Mirror's Edge on Steam, so I'd like to play that. Otherwise, Valve games and MMOs running smoothly is all I need.

Alright, so it's almost Christmas time. I'm 15, and I have to pick the right computer to replace this ancient piece of crap (8 years old DELL LAPTOP, it won't even RUN Minecraft). Now, here's what I want...

Budget: $500-$1000.

Specifications: Has to be a PC. Laptop. Going into Computer Systems Technology (need a PC for work not a Mac).

What I want to be able to do: So I want to be able to run these - Most MMO games, MapleStory, and Mirror's Edge (bought it but can't run it off of Steam right now).

Something that will last a long time (until about the end of college, about 7 years.)

Anything come to mind? What are good brands? Thanks :)

I've already established that my computer is complete garbage and I am getting a new one this Christmas, but is 4-7 fps normal for this processor?

I followed a Microsoft Article on how to speed up my PC.

I went to Youtube and EVERY VIDEO was lagging every 2 seconds. It keeps doing this every so often. I can't seem to fix it. I have a 7-year old Dell Laptop. It's a piece of crap, but gets the job done.

The "PC Rating" it gave me is 2.9 out of 7.9. It's terrible, but it's run youtube fine for a long time so I shouldn't be having problems. So, back to the article.

I followed every step. I already have Windows 7.

I used Disk Cleaner, Disk Defragmenter, and Disk Check-up. I gained 6 GB of memory from all of that, but from the past 10 minutes after finishing I checked the computer disk space. It dropped from 11 to 10 GB of data. This is not the first time it's happened. My drive has been really weird lately. About 1 week ago I did this same thing with 6 GB of memory total and for some reason, when finished, instead of giving me more space I dropped from 6 to 1 GB!!!!!!

Why? Tell me, why am I losing and gaining random space? Also, why is my computer being slow?

My internet is fast so it's not the internet, especially since I game with consoles without lag when I am hosting games.

Also, Trend Micro says I am clean, so that's not the issue.

What is wrong with my computer?

I got it for Christmas thinking it would be worth it but after a while I discovered that it wasn't the same as the experience on the xbox and it wasn't even worth it. I'm low on cash and need money for a new laptop, the 4 new great games coming this fall, a capture card, etc. So I'll sell it on ebay.

I am 15 and what this family wants is to save money. This computer is not going to survive long and we need a new one. Problems with this one is it's almost 7 years old and the DVD drive is broken AND the video card is so outdated that even Minecraft says it has bad video cards (it is FULLY UPDATED AND IRREPLACEABLE WITH A BETTER ONE).

What I want is a computer that can run the following games and that can last around 6-7 years (through to at least college.)

The only games I would bother playing on a computer are those. Are there any computers out there than can play those games and last a VERY long time? Every time I look at computers with good specs and cheap they say it will only last 2 years. So I want something that will be a good investment for them to be happy with. Thank you.

My laptop right now sucks. My video card can't even run on Minecraft. What laptop should I get to run these smoothly? Try to be cheap. I'm only 15.

So, this computer sucks. Outdated and irreplaceable video card that can't even run Minecraft. Broken DVD input and almost 7 years old, and it needs to be replaced. Problem is, I'm 15 and my parents are strict on money. They are all upset about spending around $600-$700 on a laptop for me. But I just found something that sounds really cool. I want your opinion on if I should take this offer and owe my mother money or something when I get a job. Here.

It's Acer (heard it was good) with 2.0 GHz, Dual Core, 4GB RAM, 500 GB (WHOA) Hard-drive, with Windows 7. I thought it was like (meh probably broken, but with a legit picture and a 2-week return policy, it sounds legit! The best part is that it is only $275! This is easily paid within a month of having a job (being a teen) so I think this is a great idea! What do you think? I need your opinion before showing this to my mom!

It says it has Intel HD Graphics (which I hear is pretty good. Not a GeForce but good).

When I first got the game, the game came with codes for Knothole Island and See the Future. Apparently it downloaded as free versions but I was able to access Murgo's items and fully access Knothole island. I thought this was supposed to happen. Then I sold it. Just recently, I decided to repurchase the game. I had deleted everything, even the DLC. Now I redownload it and it won't let me access Murgo's magical items. Any way for me to get the access back?

So, I want to buy Minecraft on the PC since the Xbox 360 edition isn't as updated. It will tide me over until it catches up. Unfortunately, I can't put my Debit card on there because my mom thinks that people will steal the information from Notch (she doesn't care if it has 4 million hits).

How can I talk her into letting me spend my OWN money on the internet?

I took a test at school. My eye vision is 20/20 in my right eye, but my left eye has 20/7200 vision. When I close my right eye, all I see is blurry. How is this fixed? Is this a critical issue?

Hello, my Hard Disk Failed if you didn't notice :D

I can still use the internet, but I lost some files and the ones that are still there get errors usually.

It removed all shortcut icons, all Quick Launch icons, gave me a bunch of errors (no more random errors after restarting), and nothing appears on the Windows button. No recently used items, and no My Computer and stuff on the right of it. I can still open things from typing in search and going into my computer, and also using All Programs. I am upset about all of this, since I am afraid to do much on here. It happened out of nowhere and I still have about 6gb left on my drive. I have 9gb now since I tried freeing memory. I have Windows Vista Home Premium. So here are the questions I want you answering:

1. How come I have 64GB on my drive but only have 9GB now? I have 1 game...and I've defragged, cleared out things, and Hard Disk Cleaned a lot. I barely have many programs on my computer (1 game, MapleStory takes up 6.2GB only and I only have Microsoft Word 2000 and nothing else.) I have no clue what's taking all of this up, so please tell me a tip to get rid of these things. It's also REALLY hard to navigate to things since I can't access it directly and must use Computer...and most files are corrupted and get errors.

2. How do I fix this failure? It's making me really mad and I want to restore the computer to it's previous state. It crashed yesterday.

3. Is there a legitimate program that speeds up your PC, removes cookies and other things the computer doesn't need, and fixes problems for free or at least for a good price?

When it came out one year, I really wanted it! It was just when it came out that it was Christmas, and I got it on Christmas day. I swear the cover was Rated M for mature! Now I search and all I see is E10+ (which is a HORRIBLE RATING due to the language and guns that is badly influencing kids [10 AND UP???]). Anyways, yeah. I remember seeing RATED M on the box. Did anyone notice this? I think they changed the rating to save part of the franchise being a kid directed franchise. I google and find nothing. I LOVED the game. I hope for a sequel, but it's not happening due to the fact that critics hated it.

I need a gaming laptop that will support a game like mirrors edge. This cruddy laptop has a bad processor and bad video card. I want a new one. I want one cheap though, not 2,000 dollar laptops. We are looking around 1000 or less. Does anyone have any recommendations? Post a link please! Thanks.

You know what I'm talking about. I would say kids have done it, but adults are getting into it too. Think, a "fag" is a cigar. What makes me a cigar when kids call me a fag? Whenever I plug it in, it makes a small spark but doesn't turn on. I have to move it around to get it to work, and even then if I move my controller the slightest bit it turns off. It makes a loud honking noise at times, then just statics at other points. I think the end of the mic port on the mic is bent or something. Can I fix this? I don't feel like paying $50 for a wired or $20 for another that might break again. Help me!

This is stupid, but I bought an Xbox 360 on Ebay. When I received it, I played it a while. Then, one day, I noticed there was an orange sticker with a j on it. I thought it was J-Tagged! Anyways, how can you tell if you have a J-Tagged xbox? Because buying it from ebay, I have no clue what it's capable of.
