  • Does flexing increase muscle mass?

Yesterday I did a back workout, the p90x back and bi's dvd to be specific, and directly after i decided to flex my traps for a few 10 second holds. Today, my traps are pretty sore but none of the back excersis from the workout really hit traps so could this be because of the flexing?

  • Muscle deterioration?

I'm 17 and i just got very very mild tennis elbow and i haven't lifted in a week. i'm worried my chest will start losing muscle mass (ive been working out for about 6 months and am in good shape). If i make my pecs 'jump' will that help slow the process as it is having them do something? or when should i expect to see a decrease in size and how long till i recover and gain the muscle back?

  • Dumbbell press v. Bench Press?

I just repped 70lbs dumbbells flat bench 20 times. I never bench press because I do not have access to one. I have heard from a lot of my friends though that bench pressing is a lot easier and that you normally end up repping a lot more with a similar weight that with dumbbells. What i want to know is if there is a sort of conversion? or what i should be expecting to bench max?

  • Do you think my girlfriend is telling the truth?

So i have been going out with this girl for a year, I am 17, she's 16 and we are each other's first loves. She was my first but, when she was a freshmen she lost her's to some jerk she wasnt officialy dating (they would see each other on the side whenever they could but kept their 'relationship' as a secret. when they had sex that first time (and they only did it once) she was uncomfortable and nervous and didnt really want to do it and it didnt last long enough for eitehr of them to finish ). We are both truely, madly in love. there isnt a girl in the world i would ever rather be with; we spend every minute together, and when we're not together there is nothing else we'd rather be doing than being back with each other. We don't lie to each other, share everything with each other and have a wonderful relationship; it wouldnt suprise me if we got married someday. We have sex regularly and the only thing that bothers me is that first time of hers because im insecure about it for some reason. about a month ago we were at a party and she had a couple beers in her and she said something along the lines of "when i look back, you're the only one im gonna remember: my first true love, my soulmate, my first time... my first everything" She then repeated it to me a few days later while she was sober and we were snuggling on her couch. I think she knows how insecure I am about it. We have a perfect relationship and this is the only thing i have any reservations about. Do you think what she's saying could be true? That I'm the one she considers her first? I told her how I felt at one point, and she said somethign like "weird coincidence but I was talking to my friend yesterday and we were talking about sex and she asked who i considered my first time...and i told her you" (it was much more pleasant and cute but, thats the basic point). So the question is do you think its possible that she considers me her first everything ? i hope so because even though she wasnt my first everything i still think of her as the only one that has, does, and will matter and i think she feels the same

I am new to yahoo answers, and i somehow closed my other question and i just wanted some more advice because i still feel unsure about it. Thank you all so much
